Da GROTS Kup will be held as a part of GROTS Con, which is replacing the annual Conflict event. It is a GW Canada Showcase Event and tickets are available from the GW Canada website.
The BB tourney will start with registration at 830 and 4 games being played with the usual tournament rules (no inducements like last year)

There will be 4 games played in one day, swiss rounds, with points for win. loss, and ties. TDs and CAS used as tie-breakers. Teams reset after each match as per usual tourney rules. One normal skill one one different player after round one and three, and either one doubles skill on one player or two normal skills one two different players. As per normal tourney rules, no player can have more than one skill.
Registration starts at 8:30 am, tourney starts at 9:00am sharp (or sooner if all players arrive and registration is done early).
Prizes will be award as per last year (1st place, 2nd place, Most TDs, Most CAS, etc)
All official (ie LRB 5) teams allowed as well as Slann team (the ONLY experimental team allowed). Also BBRC rules review clarifications will be inforce.
No inducements, except Halfling can buy Master Chef for 50K as permanent part of team (ie has to be on starting roster).

Schedule; March 2, 2008
8:30-9:00am Registration
9:00-11:00am Game 1
11:00-11:30am Lunch Break
11:30am-1:30pm Game 2
1:30-1:45pm Break
1:45-3:45pm Game 3
3:45-4:00pm Break
4:00-6:00pm Game 4
6:00-6:30pm final calculations and awards presentation
As mentioned above, the tournament will be Swiss style with rosters resetting after each game (all injuries healed).
One normal skill chosen after games 1 and 3
One Doubles skill, or 2 normal skills chosen after game 2
Only one shill ever allowed on any one player.
Points scored as follows;
5 pts for a win
3 pts for a tie
1pt for a loss
(no pts gained for a forfiet or conceding, opponant gets pts for a 2-0 win)
Painting
One point will be gained for each of the following;
A painted team of at least 3 colours
Highlighting and shading
Clearly numbered on model or base
Positions easily distingushed (can include base ring colours)
Fully based (static grass, etc, NOT just the base painted green)
Points can be deducted for using a team that isn't representative of the race being played and if there are problems telling positions apart (-1 pt each)
One point will also be gained by those chosen by an independant judge to be the top 3 teams to be voted on for the Best Team award.
Spprtsmanship
After round 4, each player will rank each of his opponants from 1-4;
4 being the highest and 1 being the lowest, to determine the Most Sporting player award. Players will receive the average of these scores on their tourney points total.
Bring your own dice, pitch, dugouts, templates, painted team, and two copies of your rosters. Don't forget a pen or pencil to write with.
Lunch is NOT provided
Tourney ticket includes a free GROTScon t-shirt.

The big event is tomorrow, starts at 8:30 for registration and the first game will begin at 9:00am sharp.
