Not certain I can make it and I'll make a final decision Saturday morning. The freezing rain made everything worse -_-

I will be there tonight but arriving about 10 to the pub. Interested to know how the snow is local to venue. Hampshire is fine only 2-3 ins worth but could do with knowing if it’s worse there.

Good luck with the weather and, if you make it, good luck on the pitch :)

You might be ok skirting around the north of Hampshire but Southampton is pretty much cut off as far as public transport goes. Buses are moving very slowly and I think the train companies have or are in the process of giving up.
There were 3 of us in work this morning from a department of 70, so I suspect the roads are not much better. They needed the army last night to clear the A31.

Definitely do not go via the Winchester/Eastleigh route would be my advice.

Hi,

The brummie from the frozen Midlands will be there just on my way to London now.

I second the advice about Southampton while I was at New St it was announced all services suspended to South Wales and Southwest including Southampton. Best way if travelling via train is through London.

Should land around 5.30pm

Ok, I'm assuming I'm not making it either. Lots of snow in Somerset, and I'm not desperate to be one of the people trapped on the road.

If tropical weather appears in the next hour I will rethink.

Happy to put back the start time to 10.30 to allow for extra time for travellers. Weather is meant to improve tomorrow morning, hope people will still make it.

The kettle will be on permanently, are hot drinks on hand.

Made it I am stopping in Emsworth.

Won’t be at pub tonight as knackered, 6 hours to get here although some good fun on the way. Will be having beers tomorrow though, hope conditions improve for others so they can make it!

We are in the hall early. Had been used all day. So managed to get in and put the heating in. It's all nice and toasty now.
