Re: Golden Gauntlet UK 2016/17
52nd (subject to moves after the NAFC), when I've only played two tournaments, one a one-dayer with Vamps, the other as a fill-in on day 2 with 'flings?
I'll take that.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

The trophy will be handed out at the NAF Championship at the end of the month. Is it too soon to engrave it...??

Re: Golden Gauntlet UK 2016/17
I think Pipey's cunning plan is to engrave Besters on the trophy in advance, thereby assuring Besters won't win it. Which means I think, mathematically, and assuming Itchen doesn't attend, that Pipey, playing a stunty team, is guaranteed to win, becoming in one daring move both the 2017 Golden Gauntlet Champ and the first stunty winner of the NAF Championship!

Now that I would like to see! I'd even volunteer to play him in the final, no wait.................speedingbullet wrote:I think Pipey's cunning plan is to engrave Besters on the trophy in advance, thereby assuring Besters won't win it. The other way I could do it is with Best Painted, Stunty Cup, Most Touchdowns and Most Casualties (60 points) plus a reasonable placing. Easy. And well spotted Speedingbullet

Re: Golden Gauntlet UK 2016/17
In response to a query - can anyone point me to the most up-to-date information regarding when a NAF trophy is awarded at a NAF event? Specifically regarding numbers of games and numbers of players.
Has this changed in recent years?

Re: Golden Gauntlet UK 2016/17
From the 2017 updated sanctioning guidelines:
NAF Trophies may be awarded to the winner of any sanctioned tournament so long as it meets minimum attendance requirement... [if it has] 4 rounds or more, 12 coaches are required; if it has 3 rounds or fewer, 24 coaches are required.
Think that clears it up.

Does this mean that if you have won a tournament in the past that met these guidelines then you are entitled to a trophy or is allocation more random than that?Pipey wrote:From the 2017 updated sanctioning guidelines:

Addressed and I now have my trophyPipey wrote:One for NAF staff to address?

On a different subject, do I get any points for winning a painting competition at NAFC and when are you updating the final table?

let me have a look at that. Best Painted Team is stated as the scoring prize don't forget.
More, commencement of 2017/18 award, plus final update to GGUK 2016/17 scores coming soon.
