Re: Bunker Bowl IV - 21st / 22nd March 2015 - Colchester
Unfortunately I'm going to need to drop out of this one!
Massive work commitments that I didn't quite expect (always massive, but this lot I won't get shifted even if I continue to pull 15 hour days all through 'til the weekend). Really sucks - was looking forward to this!
Any chance you can still sort out my Naf renewal and send some dice / Naf dice (if you still get them) over? Keep the £15 to cover the postage and contribution to food / prize fund.
Have a good one! Hopefully next year!

Re: Bunker Bowl IV - 21st / 22nd March 2015 - Colchester
Only one day until Bunker Bowl so I thought I'd recap.
First off - trophies :

Secondly - free tournament dice for every entrant :

Finally - prizes. We have, quite frankly, a daft amount of prizes now :
The tournament winner will receive an Aquila 5 KR case - all other trophy winners will receive an Aqulia 1 KR case. Many thanks to KR Multicase for assisting us with prize support!
Thanks also to Tom of Cymbeline Games! He will be supplying a generous selection of dice and models as prizes. Tom is taking part in the tourney and he will have some additional dice and tokens on sale from his car boot in the car park. Mantic Games have also kindly donated a Dreadball Xtreme box and a Dreadball Season 4 rulebook.
We wouldn't be able to be running this without 4TK Gaming who are hosting this event for us. We will be playing above their store so if you need any cases, dice, paints or other hobby supplies it will be on hand. They also supply free tea/coffee for us and have drinks and snacks available. There is a large Tesco nearby too if you'd prefer to get some lunch from there.
I hope everyone has a good tourney - I'm really looking forward to running it.

Cracking tournament, top venue, great prizes. Very well done to all involved in putting it together. This was how a tournament should be.
If I was to have one suggestion for the future, the skill selection doesn't benefit a few teams. For instance I instantly ruled out Slann which I probably would have taken otherwise as for 2-3 games they would be practically unskilled. You may wish to think about changing up the skill package to encourage a wider range of teams, just a thought.

Great tournament Darren and fellow organisers, really enjoyable and the prize support was incredible.
Really liked the new venue, plenty of room upstairs if the shop was a little too tempting on a tight budget!
Thanks to my six opponents, all enjoyable games. Hope to be back next year if you're running it again!

Glad you had a good time guys. I thought Wilf might have needed the extra arms skill himself just to carry all his swag out to the car
Good point about the skills selection - we'll have a think about switching it next time.

Had a great time... The DBBL crew will definitely be back next year, if just so Liam can defend his spoon!
I thought the lack of skills at the start was quite interesting and made the tournament a bit different but can see how it would put people off certain teams. I'm not put off Skaven yet... I only had two wins but they were pretty spectacular and made up for the other drubbings I got! Cheers Darren!

A great weekend...
Really good to see Bunker Bowl back on the map and estatic with runner up
(although I feel like I robbed Besters)
Thank you Darren and all the other TO's for all the hard work involved with running such an event and you can
count on me supporting the next one
