I missed it too Simon  I blame Joemanjis quick reference rules.

Perhaps but I think its already been covered. This looks promising...
ace2k00 wrote:I have secured the social club for the evening along with the subsidised bar. is that enough, do you want music, board games, Wii...
The bar is pleasent as well as cheap. The rules pack states that dinner happens at the same time the socialising starts so I'm guessing its at the venue. A quiet evening of food, cider, and chatter sounds good to me. A big improvement!

Re: music, etc Music is nice if it doesnt get in the way of chit chat. A Wii or other console would be quite a fun evening distraction (again, if its doesnt dominate the chatter). Board games are a great idea but some people might be a bit gamed out for the day... I think this is something to organise with people near the time, put forward a few suggestions and see who wants in, I'm pretty sure that there will be interested parties.

Was struggling with a semi-decent team (to at least beat the other ARBBLers with) with the old rules. :(

hey guys.

Thanks for the positive posts about the pack.

the reason we did not give more than 1,100,000, is the amazons. (suppose i could have banned amazon teams), they can have too many skills at 1200. but i suppose that if you guys load up on tackle they will go down nicely..

i dont want to change the pack too much now. but if you guys think 1200, then i will...

sorry for the confusion about the pack, jomanji made a good point so i changed it up a bit.

Amazons can already have the maximum number of allowable skills (120K) at 1.1m without giving anything up. 1.1m punishes everyone except Amazons.

TV 1.2m = very cool. This tallies well with the star player limits.

Humans / Khemri = bad IMO. There is no way Khemri are as bad as Goblins/Ogres etc, and no way Humans are as good as Skaven, DEs etc. Khemri in particular have had no real testing, so should be treated as 'good until proved otherwise' IMO. I think LRB6 Khemri might actually be better in front-loaded tournaments. If you buy MB for the Tomb Kings, then you are essentially giving them all +1MA as your skill over whatever you'd take in LRB5. This is very effective IMO.

Question: when it says "you may not take the same combination of skills on more than one player" does this only apply to players with 2 skills? Could you, for example, take 3 players with just Block? (I hope so btw).

the aim, was to emulate the randomness of the league, with some team selection skill.

so

each player that you purchase skills for must be unique. I.e. does not have the same combination of skills as another player. you cannot give 2 Human line men the block skill. however you could give one block & tackle, and the other block & dirty player.

this does not apply to standard players!

hope that clears things up for you.

Dave

Ugh.. might have to finish the Chaos team for the display, then take something else.
