Bringing your Roster on the day is fine - and as for your Wife complaining about your Blood Bowl habit I tell you it's nothing compared to what you get when they find out you have a Girlfriend

Not sure of the overall standings from the 1st day but I think VultureSquadron might be doing well. I know Besters and I are both on 1-1-1.

Some great games marred by two horrible mistakes on my part.howlinggriffon wrote:Not sure of the overall standings from the 1st day but I think VultureSquadron might be doing well. I know Besters and I are both on 1-1-1.
Not being able to find the venue for an hour really set the tone for the day!

Well Jim if you scroll back a few posts you'll see I left my phone number in case anyone got lost and offered to come find thembesters wrote:Some great games marred by two horrible mistakes on my part.howlinggriffon wrote:Not sure of the overall standings from the 1st day but I think VultureSquadron might be doing well. And as for standings here they are :
1st : Vulture Squadron - 99pnts
2nd : Merman - 71pnts
3rd : scs.sam - 69pnts
4th : HowlingGriffon - 53pnts
5th : Besters - 53pnts
6th : Greymurphy42 - 36pnts
7th : Knowmad - 39pnts
8th : Rustmonster - 4pnts
I shall not be playing tomorrow to make room for the much anticipated Mr Frodo still I feel I have done enough to avoid the Spoon of Shame - I think Game 4 will be the most important one in deciding if VS runs away with this or if there is contention till the end - we shall find out in the morning

Re: COSH BOWL - 22nd/23rd NOVEMBER - TIME TO GET HAMMERED
Hi all sorry for the late post - work has been non stop all week
First things first thanks to all the guys who made the Journey down and made the inaugural COSH Bowl a success.
Secondly - the tie breaker at the end - Having run the numbers in various permutations including and excluding the coachs who only played three games Vulture Squadron did indeed win by strength of Schedule the first tie breaker specified in the Rules pack. The dice off between him and Jim was therefore unnecessary - my fault a slight lack of organisation there - fortunately Nuffle saw fit to make it right
Here are the final results :

The awards ran as follows :
Winner : VultureSquadron
Runner up : Besters
Most TouchDowns : Myrmedon - 9
Most Casualties : HowlingGriffon - 12
Wooden Spoon : Rustmonster - (Only for those who played all six games)
Best Newcomer : Rustmonster
Stunty Cup : N/A - will roll over till next time
There have been discussions and we will be going again next year - Same venue and hopefully more players. We aim to go a bit earlier in the year so as not to be so close to Christmas. Also now we know what we are doing there will be better organisation and clearer directions.
