Jty

I have known the owner for a lot of years previous to him running maelstrom. I know all about his "GOOD NAME" :o , as do many on these and other boards. I know nothing about Wayland games though.

Its a big topic and not really about the Dobby Bowl so...

Lets talk about it in this new thread right here <-- that is in fact a hyperlink

Mind you, I can't help but feel strangely pleased that controversy was brought to light while talking about the Dobby Bowl. I always knew that Dobby was a wrong un and would bring shame upon his tournament but... bloody hell this was a seemless effort. Hats off dude :P

Daz,

Indeed, 'good name' is a stretch in so many ways and my hands cramped and spasmed whilst typing.

Anyway, this'll be my first BB tourney ever, and it would be good to see you there.

That's all there is really.

I have nothing good to say about Maelstrom, and even less to say about the owner, but I'm coming to Dobby Bowl purely to support Dobby. I'm happy to pack up at six o'clock and take my drinking elsewhere if that's what people want to do, doubt I'll spend a penny in the shop, and certainly won't be dealing with Eye of the Storm in the future.

Still won't stop me enjoying a Bloodbowl tourney.

Its a real shame, because Dobbys a real nice bloke, If you poured acid into my eyes , placed a huge black dildo up my arse, and taped a cut lemon covered in salt into my mouth, you might come close as to what my face, feelings, and body postures would be crossing that Maelstrom/Eye of the storm Entrance door...........

See you at some other tourney 8)

Ok where to begin, currently i have limited access to the internet as have moved house hence no reply to the *cough* comments. So i will be going to maelstrom/eye of the storm(EOTS) tuesday night and will be getting as much infomation as possible about this, if anyone has lost money due to the goings on then i totaly suport you not wanting to attend and hopefully will see you at anouther tourny. To those people that are coming if you want to go and drink elsewhere i can see about aranging somewhere else although it is all a little unfortunate as i was planning on a surprize b-day party there for my bro (planned this before the crap kicking off)

Sorry for all the trouble this has caused but its the only venue option i have and i have little to no time to reorganise somewhere else with the hours im currently working from now untill x-mas.

Look forward to seeing people here and i will be at waterbowl, monkeybowl and the naf so if i dont see you at dobby i will hope to see you elsewhere :D

Pippy wrote:Agreed this is not the best place to debate this.

In short as far as the NAF is concerned, we approved Dobbybowl and will continue to support Dobby as TO. So assuming the venue is still available and the tournament goes ahead then it will remain NAF approved.

Daz, Matt - hear where you're coming from and agree that if people are being ripped off then that is shocking.

But it would not be fair on Dobby or those who have signed up to withdraw support now.
Sorry to carry this on Brendan (especially on this thread). Fully understand that you want to continue supporting Dobby and his tourney, but could you refuse Naf sanctioning for any future tournaments planned for this venue?

I should say, in case anyone was wondering, this is definitely going ahead. Dobby (who has limited net access at present) has confirmed the venue is unaffected by any of the above. He's buying prizes, trophies etc. at present.

Dobby;

sorry can't make this now; nothing to do with Maelstrom though.
I've rejoined the TA & this clashes with an important training weekend.

see you soon & enjoy running your first tourney; hope you don't have to play it though!

Totally agree with Gav and the Don, Dobby has stepped up to fill the hole left by Stick, so its you have to support him.

I know some poepl have very strong feelings about this but it would be a shame for Dobby to suffer because of it.

I might join you in that bar Gav............

I heard every "bar" in the land had taken a restraining order out against him.

He is not allowed within 100 yards of a gripper
