Just some light hearted comparison there... And of course you are right, only some direct competition for coaches that weekend, will possibly curb the already expensive and rising GW BB ticket costs...

Valen: I spoke to my group (they even got their diaries out). I can only bring one person with me. The others are doing 'other things'

Can I have the name of the other guy so I can add him to our list?

@ Northernknight - The price will be between £20 and £25, we trying to finalise a venue and then we can release the price, but it will be no more than that.

Not really. More like refusing to pay the high price of tournament entry but still wanting to play. We've said all along (and made no secret of it) that if GW were to drop their price then this wouldn't have gone ahead. It's not about fame or fortune but about taking a stance against what we believe is right and wrong.

As for me? Like plenty of people I can afford it, but instead I'm supporting those who can't (and who GW wouldn't listen to otherwise). I see it as social responsibility, i.e. supporting ALL of the community not just those with money. But everyone has to make his or her own
decision on this.

Put me down as interested. Probably cannot leave before Friday evening, and don't know my roster for the Monday, but if it is in Manchester travel shouldn't be too much trouble.

I'm surprised that it took over 2.5 hrs for someone to do that.

But I'm very glad someone did.

Hehe, pure class, totally Gav  .

Not too sure but there is a chance that I may pop up for this one. I know I have turned into the new Jamie for promising to come to events ( I know mate, you don't do that any more, I have taken your mantle it appears... :P ) but I will definitely look into the costs of traveling up from London to both Nottingham and this event and see where the pennies fall...

Update 08 Feb 2008:

It had been our intention to release the rules pack and make tickets available earlier this week (they are all ready to go). We have 3 venues provisionally booked, each at a different size, as we intend to decide on the final venue based on early bookings. All venues are in central Manchester.

However. Other organisations have initiated discussions behind the scenes which have caused an unexpected delay. Can we ask that you please bear with us on this just a couple more days until Monday? It would be really appreciated.

Many thanks, and apologies once again for the delay.
