I moved it as I felt the previous weekend (9th January) was getting that bit too close to Christmas and New Year. Two weeks gap from Welsh - far from a direct clash. I guess that's about as big a gap as we can get in an already congested calendar. Sorry you can't make it buddy...
Still hoping for Welsh representation one way or another!!

Here's an early stage preliminary sketch for a metal "Ball Token". Would be the tournament gift for UKTC.
One side has CARRIER in green text around the circumference and a >25mm central recess in which to place a ball carrying miniature.

Flipped to the opposite side when the ball is not held (on the deck), with LOOSE in red text around the circumference and a large central ball image.

Needs to be discussed with potential manufacturers re what is practical, but this is the basic idea.
Also needs funds, so I'm hopeful of a few more team registrations in the coming weeks!
All feedback welcome.

Looks good! Actually something I would use...
Maybe the "CARRIER"/"LOOSE" should face outwards?
Will the 25mm section be recessed?

That's a really good idea.

Thanks guys. Was thinking it would be handy since I constantly seem to hear myself and others saying “does anyone have a ball?” and no-one seems to be able to find one. A 38mm metal token would be harder to lose! It would also be very visible for the players and for spectators. Yes it would hopefully have a good recess (depending on what the makers say). And good point re text orientation – I’ll try it the other way.

Wouldn't use it myself (magnetised balls and bases on all my teams and always carry multiple balls) but I know a lot of people who would.

Well you know what to do guys...
I will certainly need a lot more registered teams before October 1st to make it happen
