No worries, Leon. You well and truly outplayed me anyway so it's not like it decided the game. It was a very fun game regardless.Ironjaw wrote:Sorry Sizzler/Geospence for absolutely murdering the both of you...Sizzle actually said "that was very Leon-esque" after our match..."We're IN"

No probs. I'm probably taking Nurgle in York though, so I think you might fancy that match up ...
Only got 7 points for 4/1/1 so I'm still 2.5 off PeteW's UK DE #1. Feh. (Not that rankings mean anything Phil.)

Great Great weekend.
Thx soooo much pug. great venue, great crack. Deffo for next year.
Still casnt belive i pulled off the victory. I was genuinly sooo lucky and "got out of jail", so many times, especially against Jimmy, Mumbo , Purp and Pippy. But hey I take what I can get.
bring on the Flame, where the Geordies will reign Supreme!!!

Brilliant weekend
Thanks for all your hard work, Pug. The Plough was a good venue and the Etap provided cheap accommodation
Highlights of the weekend for me:
- All the games were fun, but the games that really stand out were vs Geospencer88 (when the gobbos came back from 2-0 down to go 3-2 up vs the Pro Elves. Sadly, two turns left with AG4, Safe throw & NOS, meant that the equaliser wasn't too challenging for Spencer. Top game though & Spencer took the elven fragility and regular 1 rolling in good humour) and a very tight 0-1 defeat vs Geoff's vamps where a succession of exciting goblin plays in the second half could not make up for the dwindling numbers (in the first half, Geoff's constant rolling of 1s for OFAB meant that I really felt that I was in with a chance here).
- The closeness of the Stunty Cup. During the last game, I thought that Mattwhile was the only other team in contention for this title. However, when the results came in, it turned out that my gobbos took the trophy from Diamond Joe Quimby on the 2nd tie-break (level on points, level on Red Cards, thankfully TD difference went my way, despite a 4-0 tonking by the orcs in the last match).
- The atmosphere during the weekend. Having the games randomly around the pub, and outside, made for a very relaxed atmosphere and there was a really nice buzz around The Plough.
- A Halloween special journey home, which included getting lost (and possibly 3 points on my licence) in Sheffield, driving down fog laden roads with almost zero visibility for miles wondering if we were every going to find Glossop, and poor Grom's rampant car sickness. Thankfully, we found a spooky closed pub to stop by in the middle of nowhere for Grom to go about his business at. I still don't know if Barney & Shanie made it all the way home
Despite all this, it was very entertaining and the guys made for good craic.
Congratulations again on a top event, Pug
