I am basically comparing this to the Dutch Open on which one to go to and I know the Dutch have a super bowl bash at the night in Amsterdam

The best alternative to the Travelodge is the Queens Hotel - which is the actual pub being talked of above - several stayed there last year.
And as for entertainment, I usually gather folk in the Wetherspoons on the Friday night for a pint, a chat and a bite. As for the Saturday night, there were two choices last year. Many headed off to a local Chinese restaurant with me, most of the rest headed to Cardiff for noisier shenanigans.....
Frequent attendees wont recognise the town they visit this time around - new shopping centre and many many eateries as well as a Cineworld are due to open on November 12th bang in the town centre.
