seriously thinking about attending this one. just need to make sure on the dates being free (i'm pretty sure they are) and booking a hotel nearby. any suggestions on places that are essentially cheap as chips?

The cheapest place I could find nearby is Rothmans Bed & Breadfast - http://www.rothmansbedandbreakfast.co.uk - they do a room for £33 a night. There are a couple of Premier Inn's closeby too though - those are a little more expensive at £86 for both nights. The Springfield one is closest to town - you can walk in from there. The Boreham hotel is probably easiest to drive from the venue to but is a little out of town.

Forgive the "bump" - there's just two week to go before the Bunker Bowl and we've still got space left if anyone's still keen to attend. It'll speed things up on the day if you register ahead of the day

First day of the Bunker Bowl is over and everything seems to be going well. Twenty-four coaches are taking part and three coaches are sharing the top spot with three wins each :

Besters - Wood Elves
Wilzif - Orcs
Cudasqarius - Lizardmen

It's all to play for on the second day tomorrow!

4/0/2 for me not too shabby considering my lack of bloodbowl this year and 21 cas to me (net +17)

Very enjoyable tournament, great venue and had a good laugh throughout.

Managed 4-1-1 with the orcs and third place (damn you Pigstar and your TD scoring skaven machines), so not too shabby with the greenskins. And, England won the Eurobowl!!!

Well done to organisers, and to Besters on his win. And thanks for the six games!
