ARBBL Pick'n'Mix Team Event, Andover, 23rd/24th November

I'm a f&$^ing muppet! I knew something had been bugging me about having an odd number of teams, but it's taken me till today to finally see the problem. With an odd number, I'll be mixing the bottom 3 teams each round by hand, but that leaves me with a spare player.

Obviously, it's not fair to make someone miss a game each round, so I'll play if need be.


So this is a shout out - if there's anyone without a team that would like to play as the "spare" player, please get in touch ASAP. Obviously, you won't be able to win the team award( ), but I can make sure the draw if fair based on results, so you will be in contention for the normal individual awards (single winner, most TDs etc).
So if you know anyone who's available, give them a nudge - spot is open on a first come, first served basis (unless I get 3 people interested, in which case they can make a team!).

All teams need to nominate a captain, who will be responsible for payment for the team, and for submitting rosters to me in advance (date to be confirmed).

Simon, are you actually going to want all the actual rosters (rather than just races) before the start of the tournament?

No, just the races - I'm going to get everyone to check their opponents rosters before the first game each day. Originally I had planned to check the rosters myself in advance in the days leading up to it, but I was limited in the amount of time I could book off work.

In other news, we've had another potential drop-out( ), this time from within one of our own club squads, but I've hopefully got a replacement already lined up.

If I ever do this again (note: at this moment, probably not! ) I think I'll ask for volunteers before I do anything else!

I have a skaven or Norse team you can use if you want. I know that Scs.sam has dark elf team so there is 3 options

I have all the teams and very happy to lend (except for Chaos and Nurgle, which I'm using). Ooh, it's next weekend, wonder if I can get my ARBBL Fimirs painted up in time to use as Chaos Warriors!

Fortunately, my first student grant (FINALLY) came in today, so I'll try and pick up a box set of Ogres + Gnoblars to make a team up in a week!

Don't get the Gnoblars - get two 40k gretchin sets if you cut the weapons off they make brilliant snotlings plus you get two squiggs which you can cut off an orc runtherd that make great reroll/turn counters.
