The EB was but a practice weekend for the real deal, it's changed us all for the better. However, I'm pretty sure Jim's ego was this big before France.

Re: Flame Bowl III - November 27th and 28th 2010 - SOLD OUT!
Hi guys, a little transport info for those wondering about getting to the venue from Manchester town centre.
1) Bus from Victoria Train Station
Walk to Shudehill Bus Interchange (just round the corner from the old Flame Bowl Venue)
Catch 'First' Bus no 17 towards Rochdale, ask for Queens Park (journey time 7 mins)
The stop is 2 mins from the Hellfire
2) Bus from Piccadilly Train Station/Piccadilly Gardens
Walk to Piccadilly Gardens/Oldham Street Stop A
Catch 'First' Bus no 163 towards Bury, ask for Queens Park (journey time 11 mins)
The stop is 2 mins from the Hellfire
3) Taxi
I reckon a taxi will cost you £6 - £7.50 from town centre to the venue, so not too bad if a group can arrange to meet up.
For drivers, there's plenty of free parking around the venue, so no problems there.
Let me know if you have any questions! Not long now!

Re: Flame Bowl III - November 27th and 28th 2010 - SOLD OUT!
Hi all - a rules announcement
After consideration, a slight change to the way bonus points will be allocated:
Coaches will be matched up for Round 2 based on their Round 1 performance (in terms of win/lose/draw) and then randomly paired off within those parameters. Bonus points will not be taken into consideration at this point, and neither will TDs or Cas. Obviously you still cannot play someone from your own team at any stage.
From Round 3 onwards (when everyone is playing as teams) all bonus points earned will be factored in, both when calculating which teams face each other and how players are ranked within teams.
The reason for this change is that I want it to be transparent as the tournament progresses how well teams are performing, and having 'hidden' points that are not applied until the end would not achieve this - however I also want to avoid teams from the same bonus bracket being forced together in round 2.

Looks good.
My only question is how does this help the Geordies win even when they haven't won?

Back to the smack talk thread with you! Glad you approve though.Pgoo wrote:Looks good.

In other exciting news, the first round draw has been, er, drawn!
Obviously I'm not at liberty to divulge anything specific quite yet, but a couple of tidbits:
Wham! 2 members of the 2010 Eurobowl Team England will be facing off
Zam! 2 tournament winners from 2010 will be facing off
Kapow! There will be at least one derby between GBBL Presents: Local Heroes and GBBL Presents: Gazza's Tears
Also, keep an eye on the 'Flamebowl Food' thread later this evening for confirmation of all dining details.
Not long now...

Tease.
Will the draw be published to allow the smacktalk to be taken to the next level.
