Ok so if Mrs Havoc lets me out for the weekend this would be my first Tournament. Played a lot of games in tabletop leagues and on Fumbbl but both under LRB4.

Beyond a few practice games I have not played LRB5/6. So I am in need of a little help here.

First off is there a good thread on what choices make good sense for team selection. If not are there any suggestions here?

I am not looking to produce the perfect team just avoid the silly mistakes. I can see that fan factor is less important but some of the team selections I have come up with leave me with 10-30k to spend. Do I use it for FF or is a cheerleader or Assistant coach worthwhile?

What about taking 12 players, will it be worth it on av7 teams or would an apothecary be a better choice?

I am not sure what race I would take yet and I know some of these questions will depend on that, but should I take what I think I can win with, what I like playing with best, the best painted or just go with Nurgle!

These come down to personal preference really. I never buy FF, as coaches & cheerleaders guarantee you +1 on the relevant roll, whereas with FF you can still easily lose the FAME roll and get nothing. But others do take FF.

Reserve vs apo is again down to personal choice. I prefer the apo as it can bring back a skilled player and/or positional at best, and at worst is just another lineman (i.e. just the same as a reserve). You can use it to keep a KO'd player on the pitch now, so it has value in the second half, and works automatically on BHs so isn't as much of a risk.

Money received! Thanks Stuart.

I like 12 players and a a few FF. But then I am odd.

Rotters are a good choice for this tourney, as you get bonus skills. :D

I've just posted payment to you this morning Pete.

Will be brining my trusty Wood Elves as they are the only team I have painted that I actually kept. Still need to paint up a star and replace the rubbish treeman with a 2nd dancer which will be tough if this lovely weather keeps up.
