Hi.

I'm really looking forward to 2023 having missed out on 2022 due to Covid. However I think there should be a reconsideration on star players for stunty teams. They should have an opportunity to be a little more competitive.

Thanks

From my subjective (goblin) perspective, I think the UKTC ruleset has been the best for stunties that I’ve played under the 2020 ruleset. I think giving stunties stats/unlimited doubles does as much for them as stars does, perhaps arguably leads to better games than star players do, who knows.

I think the average of all stunty teams was just over 5 from a possible 12 points last year so slightly below 50%.

Or limit stunties to only taking stars that cost under 200k? Then that eliminates the annoying broken ones, and just leaves the entertaining ones!

I'd echo Yudlugar

Stat increases and stacking does give new options, and it looks like Stuntys were pretty competitive at UKTC VII going by the results (see https://www.bbuktc.com/drawsandresults/) - about half the Stunty field had a 50% record or better

It can be hard to tier stunty teams with stars, as access can make them better than some of the mid-tier teams.

@Petew - that idea has merit as there are certain stars that unbalance things, not others.

I think adding the stats and stacking worked OK so happy to continue.

Hi - I was just wondering if the rules on the website are the 2023 rules or the 2022 rules but not yet updated?

They are for 2023

However I need to review things, in particular around the new amazon list and any other changes that might be an improvement

I'll update a final pack in January. More soon

Hi all

I have modified the rules slightly, moving tiers around a little. Wood elves and Underworld have moved down, Slann up, no movement for Amazon. Tier 2 get 120,000 (from 130,000) - see http://www.bbuktc.com/rules/

Regarding the registration list. Several teams still require full details of all members / confirmed team names. Please could captains send me this information as soon as possible. Please include NAF names and NAF numbers

Please do this by emailing ukteamchallenge@gmail.com (this is preferable to facebook messenger, whatsapp, pm etc.)

Cheers
Pipey

One of the 90 teams has had to drop out. Are there any teams out there who would want to step in (and reimburse the outgoing team)? Let me know if so

Hi all

Thank you to everyone who has confirmed their team members to ukteamchallenge@gmail.com. bbuktc.com/registration should be up to date with the details received; please let me know if I missed anything.

There is still a large number of teams who haven't provided these details.

The other information I will need in advance is the chosen race of each player.

With all that in mind please could I request all race and player information is sent by a deadline of Wednesday March 15th.

Please email ukteamchallenge@gmail.com

I would also appreciate it if anyone wants to recycle this into local lines of communication ie WA, discord etc. to be sure this has reached everyone.

Thanks
Pipey
