Hall is 99.9% confirmed, but a small wrinkle has appeared.

Since we used it last (October?) they've got a permanent Sat morning booking, so we probably won't have access to the hall until 11am, most likely for a 12pm start (table set up, waiting for Lycos to decide a team ;) ).
Assuming that ends up being the case, there's two options:
#1 - finish later on the Saturday night (which would be open games night as in the last few years), probably 7 to 7:30pm as I'd shave some time off the lunch. Would also mean I'd want races in advance (Friday) so the round could start ASAP.
#2 - go to 5 games total (2 Sat, 3 Sun) with a price drop.

Either works for me, as I'm local and would be staying to lock the hall up anyway, so I'd like your input please chaps (and chapettes).

In better news, the gent that contacted me about the hall has seen our FB page's post about losing the venue and is going to ask the committee if they'd be agreeable to us using the hall for a club night (which we were told earlier this year wasn't possible, and slightly less agreeable times and costs, but better than nothing), so ARBBL might not be dead yet.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Suggested Day 1 timetable would now be:

11.00-12.00 Set-up, registration and coffee
12.00-2.15 Game 1
2.15-3.00 Lunch(!)
3.00-5.15 Game 2
5.30-7.45 Game 3

Day 2 is no issue, and would still finish around 6pm.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.
Bribe level: good coffee.

Voting late finish here. 5 games is pants. Especially for those travelling long distance.

Late finish and then all head somewhere for food (or get takeaway ordered in).

Venue is confirmed (Pick'n'Mix venue for those that know), and will be the late start/late finish on the Sat as posted above - still 6 games.

In related news, the club will be moving to a Sunday night club but at our current venue, so it should hopefully mean the ARBBL Open will continue onwards (and will keep hoping my rota is more agreeable to running the P'n'M in the future).

Will hopefully get the rulespack finished tomorrow.

Rules pack attached to first post, but as I know not everyone reads the rule packs fully:
It is likely that while the rules are in flux there will be questions or points that are unclear. If so, please contact me. Please be aware that I currently do not have access to the BB2016, DZ1 or DZ2 rules, so if your question pertains to these documents, please try to supply as much information as possible.

Paid. BTW, if you're looking for Saturday night only, the Travelodge is doing rooms for just 33 of your Earth pounds.

Received, cheers bud, glad to have you back this year.

On the Travelodge, good shout, but be aware of books up early, so if you're looking for a room get in early.
