Just getting back into BB, I'm interested in this for my first tourney. I'll tout it around the club and see if we can bring sufficient numbers to solidly prop up the bottom tables and be a proper nuisance.

Further to what we already discussed re approval...

Joe (UK National Tourney Coordinator) and myself had a good chat about house rules like yours - specifically the random player Dobby rule - we agreed that the rule should be used *only if both players agree* i.e. if before any Dobby dice have been rolled, one player doesn't want to play with the rule, then the Dobby won't feature for that match.

We're applying the *only if both players agree before dice are rolled* principle to other similar house rules e.g. Rocket Bowl - as discussed with Pug.

I suspect the vast majority will be happy to play along with rules specifically developed by the TO, but it's there just in case. It also gives us an idea whether the community feel these fun house rules are going 'too far'. Should be a good barometer.

Sorry for the further intervention but we think it's a good move.
