Re: Auld World Masters V, 18/05/19, Incom Games Cheltenham
Had great fun with some lovely opponents and good to see many of you after a little paternity break. Unfortunately my A game was left at home. In a safe. Where it was in no danger of even coming near me or my dice. My bearded boys were not keen to hurt anyone this week. I took 4 Mb and a MB deathroller to maximise the niggle fun. I made 6 casualties in 4 games. A little way short of fatboyslimmings 42.
We’ll done Andy and Dan for picking up Ali’s mantle and delivering a great event.
As you asked my only comment for rules feedback is the first skill choice oddity which you choose to remove yourself before ever using it. I understand the fluff but to make it more relevant let your opponent choose it game 1 & 3 rather than 2 & 4?
Also unfortunately the ruleset leaned me away from my beloved flings (they had been to AWM 1,2, 3 and 4). Not only was only one star player on offer (as usual); but the injury rule meant that by the last game my opponents would have (99% likely) removed block from one tree game 2 and both for game 4. Let alone the loner! It made them too difficult to compete for me. So a slight tweak there would be welcomed although recognise it didn’t stop a good number of players taking Stunty and some doing very well with them. So this may not be a consensus.

Oh and special mention to my inept runner who failed a critical pick up in game 3 and then two more of his efforts game 4. “Sure hands”? My deathroller could have done as good a job.

He managed 17 in one game against a non-regening roster.

Did all cas count or is that purely blocking casualties?
Anyone got an awards rundown?

I assume most cas and stunty were allocated as per the table?

Those standings aren't correct though. I won 3 Lost 1 so should be higher. 6th I think. I got 3/4 sponsorship too so narrowly missed out. Would have finished 2nd had I caused 2 more casualties. Ignoring the bonus points I believe I'd have finished 3rd.

That's a scan of the results Thor handed out at the end. You'll have to get him to amend the files if the scores have been entered incorrectly. So has someone else got a 'win' on there that they shouldn't have then?

If it was someone who had only been playing since 2008 then I might give them some sympathy. Have you considered having your eyes tested I hear macular degeneriation is a thing for OAPssann0638 wrote:Angryhobbit has a draw he shouldn't have grumble grumble endzone stupid GW pitch.Loki wrote:That's a scan of the results Thor handed out at the end.
