Good, if somewhat chaotic 1st day at the Inaugural Brewerz Bowl today...

1st i was playing, as we had odd numbers, then 'vagabond1982uk' turned up; 'semi out of the blue' (he'd sent me a tentative email around 10 days ago & sent his roster to me at work this week but as i've been off, i wasn't expecting him).

So, not playing & plenty of time to relax & input everything into Score at my leisure, while everyone else 'duked it out' during the 1st Round.

Had a couple of late/lost arrivals but everyone was present.....
except for Sir Pugsley.....

As Pug was absent & uncontactable i had to step in to the breach after the others had been playing for 20 -30 mins & thankfully, PeteW stepped in after his match, to update Score.

Pug finally made an appearance around 12:45, after a very good night out...!

Top 5 after Day 1 (3 Rounds):

PeteW 3W
Diamond Joe Quimby 2W1D (Most Cas w 12)
Starblayde 2W1D
Dobby 2W1D
Drakk 2W1L (Most TDs w 8)

Da Wata Table Rolls are working well...

Rnd 2 Skill 1 affected (1st Skill of Player w 2 Nml Skills)
Rolled 3 - Elves & Stunties to Slimed Table (due to -1 modifier)

Rnd 3 Skill 3 affected (Player w Double Skill)
Rolled 5 - All Races apart from Elves & Stunties to Warped Table (again, due to -1 modifier)

No 'natural one's' yet, even with the Poo Bowl Dice!

Good Tournament so far & always nice to see the experienced coaches helping out the rookies... :D

More of the same for Day 2 please...

Thanks Phil for a fun tourney. Food was great and I liked the constant supply of pastries and coffee.

Thanks to all my opponents for 6 excellent and fun games! It was especially nice to meet and play acerimmer, Pcha, Drakk, Starblayde (Ulthuan_Express) and Dobby for the first time. Playing Diamond Joe in the last game was very tense - if only I'd had those slimed pro elves...

Hope to see you all at the NAFC in May.

Cheers Pete.

learnt a lot this wkd

was really pleased with the Ruleset & particularly pleased with Da Wata table results over 5 rounds... :D

was especially pleased with Jasksta's debut performance (after literally a handul of BB Games) & for Roy's (Mozza/KPM) outstanding performance to come 2nd (based on game results) & claim the Last Man Standing award.

With Bonus Points, he was just 1 point behind Joe & 3 points behind Drakk.
However Pete, you were on another continent with your very impressive combined score of 71, with Drakk 14 points behind you on 57.

Results will be posted below...

Was great to meet up with everyone for fun and frolics with newly made friends and old alike - six top notch games with Battlepuppy's awesome Christmas Orc team, my best mate Roy in an Elf-off, Headstrong's Undead and the tripwires in front of my endzone, PeteW's unstoppable Orcs, Jasksta's Orcs at his tourney debut (after starting BB in October!) and Drakk's Rat Ogre-based cackling throughout our 4-2 scorefest - thanks to everyone! Very pleased with 3rd after Day 1 and 6th after Day 2 (pfft who checks bonus points?! ;) )

I really enjoyed our game, Pete, and look forward to playing you again for some revenge! Definitely going to NAFC, so we'll see you there.

Then after that we'll play some Blood Bowl!

Doubt I'll be bringing High Elves to that one, though, maybe back to Undead? See you at Poo Bowl!

Brewer's Bowl Costings Summary & Charity Donation

Post by tiamo69 »

Hi everyone;

Thanks for attending & a big thank you to everyone for your generosity, with the NACC Charity Tin.
The amount raised this weekend surpassed my wildest expectations...

The Charity Tin had an incredible £52.73 in it, when i cashed up all of the donations!
Added to this was around £17, which was the balance left over from the weekend's fees; once i'd paid Carl at 'The Bridge Inn' for the food & deducted the cost of prizes, certificate & doughnuts/muffins.

Breakdown of Costs for Inaugural Brewerz Bowl are as follows:
Paid Fees £320 + £15 new NAF Memberships
Bridge Inn Costs (Food) £256
Costs (Prizes/Frames) £38
Costs (Muffins&Doughnuts) £9
Left over for NACC Donation £17.28 + Donation Tin £52.73

Well done everyone, we've almost trebled my target donation!
copy of receipt for donation is shown below... :)

Thank you - your donation means a lot to us
