It's pretty informal and everyone is pretty friendly.
Normal state of affairs is you turn up and tell the organiser you are there so he can put you into the computer. In this case because we are doing 4 games instead of the normal 3 on the Saturday, you will need to let Stick know your race and roster a couple of days beforehand too. That isn't the norm, usually you just show up.
The organiser will then draw the first round (in this case I think it will be pre-drawn for round 1). You probably won't know people by sight or even name, but ask anyone nearby and they'll point you in the right direction. Sit down, play your game, have fun.
The little things that computer guys often need help with: you sit behind an endzone rather than sideways along a widezone. A lot of people struggle with this change of perspective, so maybe try setting up a board once or twice to get a feel for it. Also most coaches use skill rings to denote, well ... skills. Someone can probably lend you some on the day, but no biggy. Finally it is very helpful if you work out a system for denoting which of your players has moved. The normal way is to have all your players facing forwards at the start of your turn and then rotate them as you activate them to show that they have moved. This saves confusion later in a turn when you might not remember who has already gone.
Cheers
Joe
