Was hoping we'd see a bit of a home nations / six nations vibe so was listing the teams as representing the constituent countries of the UK (rather than the UK itself). Would BUBBA be happy to be listed as representing England on this basis, since they are based in England (and presumably majority English)?Merrick wrote:I'm down with having the Union Jack as our flag.Loki wrote:I'll ask the team their view (I'll a least let them think this is a democracy), bearing in mind they are all English they may well want to leave it as is.
I'm salving my conscious with the thought that we are representing the Southwest

I'm going to take an executive decision on this and say leave it as the English Flag.Pippy wrote:Was hoping we'd see a bit of a home nations / six nations vibe so was listing the teams as representing the constituent countries of the UK (rather than the UK itself). Seems that the perspective of adding 20£ to the bill decided a few teams to come aboard this week end.
Great News !

I am still not comfortable with teams containing Scottish players flying English flags and am surprised those Scottish players are!
Smacks of that English habit of referring to all things British as English!!!
D' ye nae ha nae pride in yer nationality or a ye intimidated be yon lang streak of anglish treeman?

For my part I would suggest thinking about it like the Champions League rather than the World Cup.
Manchester United in the good old days led the world with a Scotsman at the helm, it's didn't make him any less Scottish or Man utd any les English!

Aren't you playing for team alongside an Australian? But you still fly a Scottish flag?!!?!
As I say above, I was hoping for a six nations type feel i.e. each UK team would declare they're representing one of the UK's consitituent countries, hence the flags. Please let's not get into nationalist politics... it's only Blood Bowl

I thought Eurobowl was for 'nations'? We approached this as being more club and/or league teams.
If we must have a flag I'd prefer the union flag as we'll be a bit of a mixed bag of English, Scottish and Welsh.

Jesus, it's just the icon of a flag. I love the idea and really like checking the new ones that pop up on the front page to denote our foreign travellers.

That certainly was the intended spirit behind the flags. Nice to see the geographical spread of the different teams as they register.
