Woot, Woot!! I just today made the final tweeks to my roster. I am greatly looking forward to this weekend. My buddy had to back out so you only get the second best Findlay, Ohio has to offer :( . I would like to thank in advance the Canadians for making this trip, I think it will make for a great tourney. I only hope that when an NAF event is in Toronto that we in the states will make an effort to support the event in kind. Look forward to meeting and playing many of you.

Khankill

P.S. Is there an estimate of how many have pre registered for the event or otherwise declared the will be in it?

The feeling is mutual, Khan! I can't wait to attach faces to the names in here. Not sure how many are going, but we've got 6 coming from Toronto's TBBF, plus Brian from Quebec... My guess will be approx.... 30? Hopefully more! (Hope Neo has the space for us!)

See ya Fri night, or Saturday! If you are at the Red Roof Inn, keep your eyes peeled for us Fri night... Oh ya, and where's the closest place to get a bottle of sumthin'? :lol:

I am staying at the Red Roof, but I am not ariving untill Saturday morning. Everyone have a safe trip. The area was hit with a nice blast of winter weather last night and travel may be a little slick; that shouldn't cause too much trouble for those dog sleds as they are made for that kind of thing :lol:

Wooo hooo what a great weekend! 1000 kilometers there and 1000 back and it was totally worth it. I just got in, it's 5:00 am here. I drove the whole trip one shot right after the tourney. I'm gonna go catch a little sleep and I'll update the House Rulez website with some pictures if I wake up today :)

Here's a quick run down of the results, maybe Neo can post the final standings later on.

THE RESULTS! (Or, How Canada Applied the Boot):

1: Kolja Eppert - Skaven. Kolja coaches the Pittzburg Squeakers in the TBBF

2: Paul (sorry forgot the last name) - Dwarves. Plays in Neo's league.

3: Cam Weaver (Twist) - Skaven. Cam won the 2002 Orion Cup and plays in the TBBF.

4: John Lewis (neoliminal) - Orcs. Revenge will be mine! ;)

5: Anthony Watts (Anthony_TBBF) - Norse. Woohoo! :)

6: Ian Dundas - Humans. Plays in the TBBF.

7: Brian St. James (THLapin) - Amazons. House Rulez master with 3 demerits (long story), another fine Canadian.

I think that was the top 7 as I recall. Massive respect to my main man Neo for hosting a damn fine tournament, it was a blast!! I will be there next year for sure. I'll post a review later on.

How many coaches? How many games? K-value?
I so cannot wait for the NAF rankings to go online!

According to my rough calculations from Spiky:
Mark Brereton (Skaven) 157.83
Erik Rude Neilson (Skaven) 156.38
Paul Gegg (Skaven) 155.59

So where's Kolja and Cam at? And Ant, are you gonna drag them over to the BB? Europe's finest are waiting to cut the TBBF down a peg or two! :wink:

NAF rankings are just the coolest thing ever!

Glad you all had fun! :D

That was the first Blood Bowl tournament I had participated in, and it certainly will not be the last! Some great Blood Bowl was played this weekend. Mega-kudos to Neo for running this fine event, he is a most excellent host, I will definitely be in attendance next year. Tonight I start recruiting locals in hopes of bringing a couple of them to Toronto, for Orion. I think giving them roughly 5 months notice will insure at least one to make the trek north with me. I have spent this morning cleaning up the Chaos Dwarfs that I purchased from Ethan (Chicago) this weekend. If all goes as planned they will be painted by the end of the week. Tonight it’s off to the local game store to show-off my black block dice :D .

Khankill

as for numbers there were 16 to start the tourny, and we ended with 13.

The OBL Underworld Cup
Tournament Report

-------------------------------------

Greetings from Ann Arbor, Michigan in the good old U.S.A. We has slighly smaller than expected turnout, but were lucky to have an invasion of Canadian Coaches present. The start of the event had 16 player (15 NAF coaches, K=8). It was a four round swiss format and everyone came ready to battle!

The location was perfect, with a food court in the buildind, there was little need to venture into the winter lands outside. Inside the games started heating up.

Points for rounds:

Win = 50
Blow out bonus (won by 2+ points) = +10
Smackdown bonus (won, and caused more casualties) = +10

Loss = 20
Keeping it close bonus (lost by 1 point) = +10
"You should see the other guy" bonus (lost, but caused more casualties) = +10

Tie = 30
Yeah, but we hurt'em bonus (tied, but caused more casualties) = +10

Sportsmanship:

For each opponent who listed you...
1st = +10
2nd = +8
3rd = +4

BTW, if anyone knows the missing data (three races and a coach name) please post them here and I'll fix them.
