Re: Pearly Kings & Queens XV - London - 27/28th June
Hello all,
Firstly I hope everyone is well physically and mentally during the lockdown.
After much consideration I have decided to postpone Pearlies XV until 2021. Even assuming things could change enough over the next 6 weeks to allow it to be run, I personally would still not be comfortable running a multi day event which could be a vector for infection to its attendees.
For those that have already paid me I am happy to refund your monies if wished. Alternatively your payment can roll over to the postponed tournaments next year. Either way your cash is ringfenced for this tournament and I will not be absconding with it.
Whilst I will not be running Pearlies this year I will continue to review whether I can fit in the BBALLs Cup in November. I believe other BBALLs TOs are also hoping to run the other, or alternate, tournaments this year. So please continue to monitor the relevant threads.
I know I would love to be able to run something if possible at Rule Zero. They are such a great venue that have helped the London BB community immensely and need the support at this time. Additionally I am personally supporting their Patreon to help during the lockdown and if you would like to support them I am sure it would be appreciated.
Stay safe and I hope to see you across a (2m wide?!) table sooner rather than later!
Rob
