help me understand assists please !

in this play, the beastman declares a block on the orc thrower. i assume both chaos warriors can lend assists as they are in base contact with the the thrower. can the orc linemen assist the orc thrower as they are in contact with him ? or do they have to be in contact with the beastman to lend an assist ?

The orc lineman give no assist.
To give an assist a player must be in the tackle zone of his opponent that is blocking or getting blocked.
And he must not be negated by some other opponent (or have the guard skill).
