What are the best teams at low TV against Chaos Dwarves ? Those tackle blocker are mean... and the bulls are hard to stop once (if...) they get the ball.

I´m looking for advice on which team to select for a relaxed league starting soon, and I know for sure that there will be Chaos Dwarves and Necros, almost certainly Norse and Skaven. I´m open for any team except Orks, because I already play them in another league. Team should be suited for a not so experienced coach, I´m still at the beginning of the learning curve...

Probably Lizardmen at low TV.

They outstrength the blockers, so you can tie 2 dwarves up on the saurii.

It's not an easy game (especially if they get some claw or hit your skinks!), but it's very winnable.

This was my first thought. Lizards pose some challeges, but they aren't overly difficult.

Perhaps woodies? In a team without a truly reliable ballcarrier they can take advantage of Chaos Dwarf slip ups and duff up the hobgoblins for the most part

Woodelves ? The seem to be so fragile... especially with those six blocker dwarves I have to expect. Do you really think they stand a chance against Chaos Dwarves ? I really like the models, I played Woodelves in Warhammer Fantasy, so this is a rather attractive recommendation...

There is no "best team" against any roster, it all depends on the strengths and weaknesses of the coaches involved (for example, I'd probably have a better chance using Halflings against CDs than I would using Dwarfs ).

I started my Blood Bowl career with Orks, because I used to play Orks in Warhammer Fantasy tabletop and i have a huge bitz box. I´m still at the beginning and I have to learn a lot about the game. But learning by always losing is boring. Obviously, against an experienced coach I don´t stand a chance regardless the team I choose, that´s clear. Recommendations should be based on equal skill levels and low TV.

I agree that Lizards are a good match-up for CD's but I would say harder to get right straight out the gate than some other teams would be.

Undead have a nice mix of positionals and cheap linos for 'marking' and 'zone D' which helps with all sorts of teams.

Undead would be Ok.
lizards would be OK.
Obvious choice against CD's is CD's

The answer is.....play a team you want to play, one that combined with your play style (whatever it may be)does well against CD's probably would'nt do very well against Skaven.

once you find a team you enjoy and that suits your prefered style (Bash, running, cage, grind ect) you'll probably find your results getting better, I often seen guys get hammered by one team or another in a league and take team next season to find they did'nt perform as well as expected.

At low TV zon's (if just a little bit minimaxed) is doing more than fine against CD's (and dwarfs). It gets more tricky at high TV

I know, I often watch your matches . Anyway the worst match up for Amazons is against Dwarfs and Chaos Dwarfs, because Tackle > Dodge.
Dodge is TV bloat against Dwarfs and Chaos Dwarfs.

When looking at games played on Fumbbl blackbox with Chaos dwarves between TV 1000 and 1200 lizards and undead are good choices:

Undead might be easier for a new coach to get going, so thats where my vote goes.
