Greetings,
Two questions:
Does the player who gets a secret weapon get to keep his skills.
(our problem being the deathroller)
What happens to the ball on a Blitz! [Blitz! on the kick-off table that is]
(Is it possible to catch it, or is it considered to be in the air?)
A side note:
I consider myself to 'somewhat knowledgeable' on the fields of Blood Bowl. Then I red a little on these boards before posting and became utterly confused. I always asumed that the most up to date rule version was the 4th edition, gold. Clearly that is not the case, in fact it has seemed to be.....scrapped.
I prefer to play 'hardcore' with the most up to date and official rules. I take that that would be the LivingRuleBook but I wonder exactly what the.......is it BBRC?......is?
And how much....power.....do they yeld?
Another question would also be:
What happened to (the fourth edition gold) allied and secret weapon rules?
Thanks for any responses.
(unfortunately I do not have the time to search these boards for answers as my time is short and it is a rather lengthy process to get answers that way)

Hmmm... I'm not certain I understand your question - with the current set of rules you can only freeboot star players with secret weapons.bladerunner_35 wrote:Does the player who gets a secret weapon get to keep his skills.

The ball is in the air until the end of the kicking team's bonus turn. So the ball can be caught at the end of that turn, but it can't be passed during the turn. What happens to the ball on a Blitz! [Blitz! on the kick-off table that is]

Yes, the latest official set of rules in the Living Rulebook (downloadable from the GW website if you haven't discovered already). The BBRC consists of two GW designers and five BB fans/players who discuss the rules. Quite how much power the non-GW members hold... well, I'll leave that up to them to say...I prefer to play 'hardcore' with the most up to date and official rules. The official line is it never existed. Anyone who tells you otherwise is indulging in conspiracy theories, etc.Another question would also be:
What happened to (the fourth edition gold) allied and secret weapon rules?

Re: Secret weapons, Blitz! and other questions
Secret weapons will be return to BB soon as experimental ... for now the only way to get the Deathroll is to freeboot him as a Star Player.bladerunner_35 wrote: Does the player who gets a secret weapon get to keep his skills.

Martyn nailed it ... its in the air until AFTER the kick-off table result is resovled ... order is D6 scatter, kick-off, resolve kickoff, ball drops. What happens to the ball on a Blitz! [Blitz! on the kick-off table that is]
(Is it possible to catch it, or is it considered to be in the air?)
So both Blitz and Quick Snap have the potential to allow you to get under the kick before it lands.
Other note: This catch roll is part of the kickoff. Failure to catch the ball is NOT a turnover as your turn doesn't start until AFTER the ball's drop is fully resolved.
Actually Gold 4th was never actually printed. It was a figment of your imagination. Remember this at all cost. And someone called Zombie tell you it did exist and he liked it .. remember there's a dark side to every force of good in the world (sorry Zombie... polite humour fully intended here).I always asumed that the most up to date rule version was the 4th edition, gold. Clearly that is not the case, in fact it has seemed to be.....scrapped.
1.3 on the site, yes.I prefer to play 'hardcore' with the most up to date and official rules. I take that that would be the LivingRuleBook
The BBRC is the rules committee ... however Jervis does hold final veto power so if he really doesn't agree with something its not going to make it into the rules. As Martyn said the BBRC is two GW members (Jervis and Andy Hall) and 5 coaches like you and me ... 3 from the US, 1 from Canada, 1 from Australia ... if memory serves on that one).but I wonder exactly what the.......is it BBRC?......is?
And how much....power.....do they yeld?
See above ... figament of your imaginiation that they were printed. Any proof otherwise is probably contraband material.Another question would also be:
