Hiya,

subject line says it all really....
Anyone in the Hull area who Bloodbowls?
or even stretching it out as far as York?

I'd like to start a league or if not enough interest at least a short tournament to get some players together...

cheers
Zak

Hi Zakspeed,

Sprout_man lives in up that way and he is a regular tournament player and also one of the nicest guys playing the game.

If you join the NAF (www.midgardbb.com) you get access to a Coach locator that may help you find others. Also try searching previous messages using the 'search' function listing above.

By the way, I am not local, but my league are holding a tournament in Manchester in February (17/18 ) called the Waterbowl Weekender. If you fancy coming down, just pm me or post on the Waterbowl Thread that you will find under tournament postings. There also gonna be one or two other tournaments in Manchester next year.

Cheers

Leip  :o

My Brother lives in Hull, not on Talkbloodbowl, but he's been to the Bloodbowl at Nottignham and last years Waterbowl. PM me if you get something started and I'll let him know...he might join in.

Hiya,

well I actually live in Beverley, so thats even closer.

Thanks for all repsonses to the original post.

I tried to see if a local north humberside wargames society might hide some bloodbowlers in its midst, but only got 2 vague replies, so I think a league or even a short tournament is likely to be out of the question at the mo, but a couple of one off games would be great.

I'll try the 'North Hull' wargames soc at some point too, but I have a feelign I might get the same repsonse as the members seem to belong to both.

Havent actually tried GW Hull yet, but I'm never sure how amenable to Specialist games the shops generally are.

Anyone in the are who wants to pm me, please do....

Anyone know of some good pubs in Hull or area which have free rental of function rooms?
Maybe we could just find one of these and have a trial night to see how many people we can drag out of the woodwork?

If its a success we can then go for once month and then build up if there is enough interest, hold a league and tournament etc.

I've painted a 4 way deathbowl pitch, so we can have a 4 way game / tournament end for something slightly different.

I've got quite a few teams as well:
2x orc, human, goblin, halfling, lizardman, chaos dwarf, wood elf, dwarf, ogre and I'm currently building a nurgle rotters team.

I know the GW store in hull has held BB leagues in the past, me and my mate currently pick 6 teams each and play divisional matchups in a league format, best team in each divsion plays in a final
