Just liked to step in, and say hello to you all... Actually played my first tournament this weekend, the BUBBLE in Utrecht, Holland. Joined the NAF, too. Dont know if THAT was a smart move though ...
Although I didnt do too well on the tourny (well, rank-wise), I had a wonderfull time and met a lot of nice people. Did meet my goals though:
- win at least one game,
- dont finish last,
- have some points on team-painting,
- last but not least: have a good time.
Big thumbs up to the organizers, and all the people who played there !!
See you on the table...

Welcome to TBB. Tourneys are always great fun, though I've only been to 2, but plan to get to more next year. Hope to meet you sometime in 2005.

Harrr !!
Yeah, had a great time. Still a bit tired though, loads of impressions. And I REALLY need to paint up another catcher or 2... 1 is not enough apparantly in a tournament

Yeah, I thought I had a good start on the first tournament; we played even ! ... Unfortunately I lost the next 4 matches. Good thing I won my last match though...
Nice looking team you have, it was a pleasure playing against it. I guess I'll meet you again at the Dutch Open !

Against who? And how many grunts and sighs did that cost you!

Those beardy, cheezy, overpowered Halflings !!!
...
HEY !!! That was you !! Yeah, I really liked that game... it's kinda hard to play without rerolls but I think I pulled it off nicely. I was also dead-tired when I got home

.
I think I had a lot of really exciting games, I've never had so much "stress" in normal games/leaugue play, tournaments are really fun in that you dont have a "revenge" game !!

Well, your game drew almost as much attention as the one where Tim and Cern were fighting to win.

Yeah, that was nice

... cant believe the tension I felt when handing off a ball to a player, completely save, who had also catch...

. That got me the last TD, but I was not sure if I would make it. I mean, I HAD to win a game in the weekend, just to be sure.
Unforunately, I dont have too many pictures... Too tied up in the game, and some are not really good (read: crappy card again

).
Unbelievable that he made the interception in that game, too... come on, he needs a six, what's the deal ?? Indeed, sticky foodstuffs held in the air really help Halflings making those interceptions.
I'll never underestimate the POWER of the Halflings, that's for sure

If I can intercept an elvish pass, then for sure a pass made by a perkey human can be no problem!

Hopefully all those rowdy, drunken foreigners didn't put you off too much

So, if you think your next match at a tourney might be Flings, better give your thrower save pass.

Yeah, looks like it.

Nah... I mean, what can you expect from Germans, English and Scots abroad ?
It was really nice meeting all those people... Guess playing with little painted plastic men isnt that weird after all
