Little League starting

Post by Spyke »

Hot on the heals of the Tiptoe Tournament in Amsterdam recently a number of participants there expressed interest in a PBEM little league. I promised I get one going so here I go.

If anyone is interested in giving it a go then let me know. I've popped a web page up giving some brief details and reproduced the Little Leagues article from the 2002 annual, if you haven't seen it.

Little league nearly full

Post by Spyke »

Due to the very quick response tonight, 8 teams confirmed so far, there's only space for 2 more at the moment (another 2 to confirm tomorrow). That will kick us off with 2 conferences of 6 teams each, giving us 5 games each in the round robin phase with the top 2 from each conference plus best 3rd place team based on win/loss ratio (tied - then number of td's for/against) going thru to the knockout finals.

If there are enough coaches/landlords wanting to join to make up a 3rd conference, I'll do so and take the top in each and the best two runners up to make the 5 finalists.

Thanks chaps,
Spyke.

Hey! Who's up for painting up one pub team figure each then? :) We could pool the pics for the Pbem tool!!! Anthony suggested something like this a while back...perfect excuse to get it done! :D

Awesome idea, I'm in for that too!

We could even give the minis away to the league winner. :D

I suppose I could ask Giles (painter of the Tiptoe's "best painted" figures) to do one for me - count me in.

<Rhetorical Question>
Where can I lay my hands on a human thrower ?

Rhetorical my a*se! :D
After a quick stock check we can let you have a 2e thrower...
Better make him scruffy, we don't want any ex-pros turning up do we?

I'd join the third conference, spyke, if you're going to do one.

A) Is it full up yet?
B) It mentions cards, where can I find rules for that?

A) Not yet
B) The article is exactly as printed in the BB Annual and the cards in question are no longer part of the game, we will probably use the handicap table with a few results re-rolled if they come up. Still to be discussed & decided.
