TBB only league on FUMBBL anyone?

Be it FUMBBL, PBeM, the Cyanide Computer Game, VASSAL or whatever - talk about online play here.

This is also the place for discussing the various tools for managing leagues, teams and so on.

DP is a tool. It can be used tactically.
We can't just say "no DP". Its when people start using it to wipe out teams and make that the focus of the game that it becomes a problem.

Anyway...

I just realised: The season ends the 14th...on the 15th I'll be going to Britain for a week...minimal net access and certainly no fumbbl. If I make the play offs I hope my opponet/everyone else can wait for me to get back...

never said no dp. just pointed out who took it first and that I've seen/been in enough leagues that once that road is opened the league is never the same.

guess we should all grab our "tool" then.

http://www.specialist-games.com/bloodbo ... bootin.pdf show's that the tool is REALLY GOOD.

Guess I'm going to have to miss out, as I still get connection problems with the tool every time I try to play. :( Everything else works ok, and I can still surf the net, just the Javabowl drops connection.

Wow. The only reason I didn't take a Dirty Player or two was because this is an open league and I figured it would be next to impossible to find a game against a coach that didn't have one. Plus, I've been impressed by the general fun and fair play attitude I've seen so far.

Sorry to see you go, Ian. Any chance we could talk some sense into you and get a mod to unretire the team or something?

I intend to take DP when a zombie levels up... I must be a fumbbl butthead. I take it mostly as a precaution, but if I get key player down I would foul once a half perhaps more if its a WW or WD.

Its seems difficult nowadays to have any sort of league without divisions between the players.

could possibly a network card issue. at least see if there are any driver updates for your network card and at worst buy a new one ;)

this may be no help to you but i thought id suggest it to you anyway :)

gg Git. forced a tie :) Nuffle tested me very much this game.

4 double skulls and 2 double 1's (both resulting in players getting cas'd)

and I get out cas'd by humans...hang my head in shame.

Here's my fouling philosophy from here on out:
I will foul key players to get them off, but the dirty player will only be used if you have a dp on your team. So we can play whatever style you want :) So, if you have dp, then dp is fair game. If not, i just foul with regular linemen.

it was a really entertaining couple of games last night for my final 2 in this league section. managed to lose 3-2 to skummy's dark elves which could have gone either way in the end. he did out cas me in the game and morley's revenge certainly took it's toll on my players, but i think a fair result was had in the end. very entertaining :D

and then on to gken's orcs. first half finished 0-0 because he stopped a td run in (which i should have tried to get more blockers over there. not sure where they could have come from though)

second half gken scored in 3 or 4 turns giving me the same amount to try and equalise. it was looking very dicey at one stage (especially when i blocked a player instead of blitzing. one of these days i'll gt it right...) but finally managed to get the score in turn 7. last turn was a slug fest. :D

well now with a full 16 man squad and some nice + stats all over the place. never had this much luck in my rolls ever. the teams starting to become what i had in mind when i first started it, and hopefully i should still make it into the playoff's with this team. i've decided i do like humans

This one is so incredibly good, it should make the LRB, perhaps the best BB-related headline I have ever read:

I am just playing against someone whining 24/7, with and without reasons. Polite suggestions to stop the endless ranting merely triggered rude replies. For me, that's unbearable within a group which was meant to be of friendly nature. Thus, I concede and retire. I'm out.

Perhaps a little oversensitive, admittedly, but I also try to avoid such coaches in faction at all costs (even if I might like them personally).

Please take care of Slim Slugfoot. :D

*Edited for Rob's sanity!*

Join the TBB elite, its bags of fun. All of the coaches I have played are alot of fun! First season has been a blast, and I've got to know all the TBB guys alot better and shown how good they really are.

I look forward to season 2!
