it will go into overtime in our game.
Just to make sure I got the rule set properly...it will be sudden death overtime, right?...meaning the first to score in overtiem winthe game.
also, RR carry over from the second half.....meaning if you have used all your RR in the second half you won't get any new ones (except by kick-off-result)...is that right?

Nope, just started the 2nd half. I've not had access to my desktop for 2 days, and all the PBeM files are on it. I need to get a wireless router so I can synch the PBeM files onto my laptop.Valen wrote:Have you and Darkson finished Dave?

overtime is inthe way....the Norse won the coin toss and secured the ball....They have 7 players available....the Necros have 9 "healthy" players.
In the first turn the Norse decided to take the left side of the pitch as their way to glory...and of course the Necros are trying to don't let that happen....The Necros had a rough start at the beginning of overtime....They are desperatly trying to bring all their players to where the action is and by trying that one of the Zombies tripped over the WW who was knocked down by the Norse....now there are two players prone in front of the Norse cage
...we keep you posted on how things evolve here...stay tuned

the Norse kept going forward, but due to their lack of manpower the ballcarrier was exposed...The Necros were closing in....a wight releaved the Norse Trower from his heavy burden and the Thrower has at least one turn to relax on the ground (he's unconscious and weas not available for a comment). A ghoul wanted to pick up the ball, but again was slightly incompentent...at least he managed to scoop the ball to the Werewolf who just stood up after a short rest. The WW was a little bit surprised why his teammate wanted him to have the ball (since he's standing next to a Norse lineman)....but on a second thought he decided that it's better to have the ball in his hands than to have it somewhere else.

I got a little problem here....I need some advice.
Tritex believes he won the game in overtime.
When I checked the log file I saw that he made a critical mistake. Here is what happened:
He made a 1-dice block (he did not declare a Blitz) and rolled a BOTH DOWN result...my Zombie went down, he Norse lino stayed (due to block), but then he moved the same guy by one square next to his player and my ball carrier.
When he blocked my ball carrying Werewolf he used two dice....which I believe is wrong since he moved the previous player without declaring a Blitz. In that block he got a SKULL and a POW result and what followed lead to a TD.
I asked him to rewind the game file up to the first block and continue from there without moving his player after the block
Any ideas?????

I'm firmly in the camp that says if you haven't rolled any dice, you can declare an action even after moving a player. In this instance, where failing to call the action has a big effet, I think you're within your rights to ask him to rewind the turn to that point and play from there.
Update vs. Dave - early in the 2nd half, and it's 1-1.

I am a little dissapointed in Torstens reaction here to what was a perfectly fair play and a knife edge victory at the end. Not wishing to moan at my crummy luck this game but having two quick snaps and a perfect defence going against me I manage to claw my way into extra time then get a bit of luck on my last turn and now this?
Ok as illustrated below just to be clear.
OK Mv1: As I have done all game I blitzed using No 5 (there isn't a button for this but you only get 1 a turn so its obvious and have had no objections to this all game. No 1 went down as he didn't have block!
Mv 2 I moved No 5 to No 11 vs the werewolf (anyone got any other way in which I could get an assist on the werewolf as this seemed the obvious play to me?
Mv 3 Were wolf goes down with a 'pow' and ball scatters beside my No 2 who is a norse blitzer with 'Jump up'
Mv 4 I take the bold step of going for the TD with no re-rolls and a chock load of dice rolls to risk making it (stand up No 4 just in case as I am geared up for the worst. Then a miracle happens I make about the first dodge roll all game, get the pick up and subsequently the GFI and score!!
Of course at this point I am swing ing on lamp posts and the neighbours come around to see what all the commotion is so you will understand why I am a little dissapointed that I need to defend my win?
I am therefore declaring my 2-1 victory over the undead....GO Norse!!!

First of all....in at least three occasions you complained and questioned some of my moves and I had to explain the rules for you (one time hading even to use this forum to convince you), but in all instances it turned out that you either were in the wrong or did not pay attention yourself.
Now, I'm complaining about a clear breakiage of rules (and game courtest), which is a super critical issue, since it's directly deciding about winning and loosing the game and you blame me for not being fair.
First of all , your "Bad luck"...if you really had bad luck we would have never gotten into overtime....you always got the important dodge and the necessary GFIs and the single dice blocks against my ball carrier (Bloding Ghoul or WW with Block) when you needed them (otherwise I would have scored the next turn without any dice rolls)....I failed to pick up the ball so many turns in a row, which enabled you to get back into the game. Yes, you were down a few men, but in all of the critical situations you had the best luck....including scoring the 1-0, where you had also luck with how the dice rolled and the ball just bounced in your favor.
Coming back to this situation here.
First, if you would have gotten a POW on the first block you wouldn't have needed to "Blitz" and could have used the Blitz on some other situation...second..your player #6 could have dodged away and gotten next to my WW in order to assist. Third, you did not mark the path of your blitzing player in advance like you did on previous plays. So for me it was not obvious that you needed a Blitz.....so, you talking about "perfecty fair play" it's making me laugh.
I would like to have a decision of Valen (the organizer) about this situation. I will accept any ruling he makes.

OK - well this is the mail I sent you in private but if you feel you need to go public then I will too. I was playing fairly throughout the game - if I rewound the game I would just type 'blitz' to keep you happy for the first time that you had asked me to do this all game just to keep you happy and do exactly the same.
Why would I go for the Pow at this stage?? The odds of going for a Pow at that stage were only 33% whereas anything else would have been a waste for my number 5. Dodging wasn't an option as I have proved time and again that my guys cannot do that especially without Re-Rolls and No 6 was back up in-case your WW escaped.
The only things I have tried to clarify in the game was the crowd push which I already advised I had been told that there was a movement loss and showed you where I got this from, that was a fair call to check and as I said at the time was quite acceptable once explained even by you, you were the one that jumped to the forum at the first opt which was fine if you felt comfort in it and I accepted and moved on without complaint?
Luck has been against me with 3 kick offs going against allowing me to almost lose my first drive and then for you to score in 2 turns before the 1/2 time, I had only 1/2 a squat for most of the game, but hey as I said that’s BB for you and you just roll with the punches and go on playing.
As I said my final push was a miraculous piece of luck with my blitzer, sure you are upset, I would be too if I lost as passions ride high in a game like this but take it like a true BB coach should and accept that in the end you lost fair & square.
I wouldn't want to finish what has been a good challenging game on a sour note!!
GO- Norse!!!!

I have not seen the rest of the file, but to be honest. If you want to have a blitz, it MUST be declared, before any dice are rolled. A Pow in this situation would have saved the use of a blitz, so you could have used it anywhere else.
Happy it's not my call, but I would rule this as a mistake and play it back from before nr 5 moved. (but after he made the block).
A succesfull dodge form nr 6 will win Tritex the game in the end anyway, unless he can't pick up the ball.
I'm with Darkson on this one.
