FUMBBL is great when there is so far between regular games and you can play anyone all over the world in an instance. Yes FUMBBL suffers from powering, cherrypicking etc etc though it really does not matter. It is a way to get to play bloodbowl without the hassle of getting the old doofuses in your local league active and the games are a ton quicker. The GUI has become so much better than before so it is really a completely new experience these days.
I just hope it will be up again soon since I am enjoying myself and have found a decent core of coaches that are fun to play.
You wont get games on FUMBBL if you pick dirty player or too much mighty blow. At least it will be very difficult to do so.
Though now I am rambling, I just want it up and running and I don't know Christer personally and have no way to contact him about the issue.

As u can see i'm a rookie, even for fumbbl.
But i can say to have a good experience in board-role-war games; that world, in wich i live with pride, is full of people who don't like to lose, people who throws the table away and then say "sorry", red in face..
One time, during a d&d session, one insospettable guy (19 y old) cut? the face of the dm with a key, for little? reasons..here in my home!!
Fortunately we are far away in fumbbl, eh eh, cause even in my little experience i have seen some cruel guys, some little guys, some offensive guys..the game is a reflection of the life.
Maybe the "little black book" for the do_not_play_coaches should works..
Can someone gimme one?

I agree with this. There are a few coaches that I dont want to play, but very few. I like to play the bashers and the powergamers and when I beat them it feels great. I like to be cherrypicked occasionally, I like to cherrypick occasionally. Its all part of what I see fumbbl as.Thadrin wrote:FUMBBL is suffering a major powergamer infestation, and I don't have the time - not at the moment anyway - to wade through them to get to the decent players.
I can see your point, but really these guys are outnumbered greatly by the good coaches. It seems every other game that I'm adding someone to my gold list.
I'm in brown_rob's league at the moment and loving it (doing quite well too 3rd or 4th). If you dont like ranked, try the tourneys and leagues

Cheers

it's been down s long that i have my next skills databased, including what to take for doubles and which players wouldn't take stat modifiers...
... and i've worked out a few new tricks to try out with various teams and commited myself to my first f2f tourney in years and and and .... the list is endless and i go back to work in 6 days which means i will be away for about 19 of the next 20 weeks

I may go back to fumbbl at some stage, if it ever returns...but if I get even one idiot refusing a game against my dwarfs because he's scared I'm done.

"Hi all!
I just talked to Christer 5 minutes ago on the phone. He said that his internet connection has been down since wednesday last week and that he didn´t know when it´ll be back up.
He predicted that it could take days.
Just letting all you fanatics know what the score is right now.

yeah im thinking of just setting up a TBB league once fumbbl starts again, and you guys Darkson etc wont have to worry about disconnects as you can play vs other TBB'ers, hopefully some from the tourney scene
Initially i will probably set it up as an open league format where you can just play, not for points etc, then if it is popular, we can work at something more competitive?

ah at least we know now.
@Thadrin- Finding games with dwarfs is never easy. Even bashers dont want to play against them. If you have that kinda attitude then fumbbl is never going to work for you, I'm afraid. In my opinion dwarfs arnt much fun to play against, but they are beatable. But thats what comes from being able to choose your games unfortunatly. As I say join a league and then they cant avoid you

I don't have time for Fumbbl regularly or predictably enough for a league.squig87 wrote:ah at least we know now.

I like playing dwarfs. If fumbbl is useless to me because of it, then that merely reflects negatively on the people who play there.
