Ok, I have this Orc team, and I'm playing a really, REALLY nasty Lizardman team next. He has lots of Piling On, Mighty Blow Saurii so does anyone have ideas on how to protect my fragile little Orcs??
My team is as follows:
BLITZER 6 3 3 9 Block, Guard, Tackle
BLITZER 6 3 3 9 Block, Guard, Tackle, Strip Ball
BLITZER 6 3 3 9 Block, Guard, Mighty Blow
BLITZER 7 3 4 9 Block, Guard, +MA, +AG (this one is NICE!)
BLACK ORC 4 3 2 9 Block, Piling On, -ST, n
BLACK ORC 4 4 1 9 Block, -AG
BLACK ORC 4 4 2 9 (rookie)
BLACK ORC 4 5 2 9 Block, Piling On, Mighty Blow, +ST (this one's a CAS machine!!)
LINEMAN 5 3 3 9 Block, Dirty Player, n
LINEMAN 4 3 3 9 Block, -MA
THROWER 5 3 3 8 Pass, Sure Hands, Accurate, Safe Throw, Kick
THROWER 5 3 3 8 Pass, Sure Hands, Strong Arm, Nerves of Steel
GOBLIN 6 2 3 7 Dodge, Stunty, Right Stuff
GOBLIN 6 2 3 7 Dodge, Stunty, Right Stuff, Block, Catch
Also, I have 3 TRR's should I go for a fourth or an Ogre the next time I get 120K?? (have had 2 Ogres killed, ouch!!)

First get rid of the -ST BoB. He isn´t worth the TR he adds.

I know! But for the moment I can't replace him, so he stands on the LOS and gets beaten up.. And he is still as good as a lineman, so I'm not dumping him until I can get a replacement...

I totally agree.
My personal choice after that would be another reroll. You already have 4 ST 4 guys to cover things up. Depending on your play style an Ogre might fit in better though.

Actually, I'll have 3 ST4 guys and a ST5! One of the BOB's has +1ST...

an orgre would allow you the flexibility of chucking that gobbo with catch downfield. your opponent has to worry about 2 catchers then (your ag 4 blitzer). but another team re-roll allows much more champagne play!

I'd buy the Ogre. Ogre and Goblins give you a possibility to score in one round.
Believe me, sometimes it works. In my last game (which was actually vs Lizardmen, I scored three times with TTM. I know I had a lucky day, but still. Buy an Ogre and get "Leader" quickly
Use your Guards. Those Lizards don't propably have that many guards?
Just put your BOBs and guards (if you prefer some linemen) next to Sauri and they will not move. Then eat those little skinks for breakfast.

The BoB adds at least 11 points of TR, and might not be available for play due to the niggle. 11 TR will probably give you a roll for handicap.
If it provides you with an handicap-roll or negates your opponents handicap, I would ditch this cripple at once.
Even with block he is worse than a lino and without him you can field 11 orcs an another 2 gobbos.
In addition it´s likely to slip into a lower "earning-category" getting an additional 10k earning.
Considering the lizzies, I would pray for recieving and hunt down as much skinks as possible. Remember, that you can play a classic short-pass+hand-off game, to score quickly, as soon as your players are in position. So avoid his saurus and stay in your half for a few turn, using your tackle/mightyblow blitzer to remove skinks and your gobbos/AG4 blitzer as possible recievers.
Keep your Dirty Player in range of the most dangerous sauri and foul them out of existance when they pile on you. Isolate and kill or avoid them. If you have moved all important stuff, dodge away from those killer-sauri.
And consiring the money:
Get another Blackorc or another Re-Roll.
Get the Ogre as soon as you have leader.

sound logic but one turn touch downs are great especially against quick teams like welfs because it really annoys them. alot!

Drop the BOB and either replace him or buy the Ogre.
3 TRR are a must. 4 is luxury.
Dont worry about the Sauri if they have Pilling On and MB all over then you have good chances to bring them down because they will not have Block too often.
And always try to have saftey players in your backfield (1 or 2) to hurt any Skink that steals the ball from you and goes for your endzone. This is a must against Lizards!!

Most of them have Block! But then again, so does most of mine.. I figure I'll place some expendable players (BOB w/ -ST!) on the LOS, then keep back and simply try to limit him to one hit per turn - that being his Blitz! With a couple of guys with Tackle, I don't fear his skinks too much - and if I can get my own Piling On - Mighty Blow to hit his little skinkzies.. Drool!!
