Has anyone here played an Araby team (holy or unholy)? I realize it is unofficial, but sounds kinda fun. Any experiences on how playable and balanced they are?
Can you play them without the wizardy spells?

I've played both teams.
I like both teams and you forgot the secret weapon options and Necromantic rules for the team.

The Unholy team takes a lot of patience but is a lot of fun as you build up the Undead legions of the team.
The Holy team is just a good mix of a basic fast Human team.
Phigs is working on Araby Elfbowl figs. My understanding is that there will be a Palace Guard/Eunuch/Big Ugly Thug type fig in the team before he is done. So these figs would work well to play the team if you wanted to do so.

Hey Galak,
thanks a lot.
I forgot to copy those rules, but we are playing without secret weapons at the moment.
For the Necro, basically it would mean that your dead player is either a skeletton or a mummy with a MNG (both with mods to their stats). Definetely sounds like fun.

Yes, but if you are patient .... eventually when your Dervishes die you get Dauntless + Frenzy Skeletons or Mummies .... much fun ... just takes a long team to develop this team up.

i have just had a look at the araby team and i don't understand why they have a ogre as BG ,they should have something like genies or efreets with block and demonic instability to make the team more arabylike

Galak... For the unholy araby team, when the Dervish with ball and chain dies, does the ball and chain have to stay with him when he is raised from the dead. I know that his skills/stat upgrades and downgrades/injuries stay, but wasn't sure about ball and chain. If not, I'm very seriously considering dropping Da Squig Humpaz and taking up this team. DSH is doing pretty well this season and player development has gone well. That said, this team would be a fun change.

The player loses the Ball and Chain.

The Ogre is more like a Djinn ... but bottom line was the MBBL2 was trying to control creating new Big Guys a little bit.
So call the Ogre and Djinn and use a Djinn fig and when he fails a Bonehead roll instead of being stupid he's just ignoring an improperly made command of his masters.
