Talk Fantasy Football

I play in a small league and we each run 2 teams. I have had trouble with the amazon team with both of my teams every time we have played. The coach is quite good and that has a lot to do with it. The amazon team is at around team rating of 200 or so. So pretty much every player has Blodge. My Human team is my favorite team and the one that I really want to win with they are set up as a bashy human team and their team rating is at about the same level as the amazons.

The two teams have played 6 times and I have only won once. While I have only lost 3 other matches against all of the other teams in the league.

Since I am a bashy team it frustrates me that I can't get these women on the ground. I gave one of my lineman tackle as his second skill and intend to give it to all of my lineman at their next roll. But untill then do you have any advice for me.

make dodging hard for them
make as many AV rolls as possible.
make them bleed.
kill them

I would love to do that but it seems as if the coaches dice are blessed I have only seen them fail a dodge once.

I can't ever seem to knock very many of them down either. When i do get one down I usually don't do more then stun them and fouling hasn't helped either.

I think I have done what I can to help the odds but luck has it out for me or something.

Let them cage up... then put tackle zone all around them. Then start blocking and pushing them into a tight little ball... this lets you push into the ball carrier while forcing them to make silly dodges to get out. Works like a charm.

As sort of a follow-up on Neoliminals post....

Step one is to be able to delay their first touchdown for as long as you can. While you are doing that, all your 'spare' players are positioning themselves so that any block with a pushback gets another amazon (or elf, skaven, goblin, skink) into the 'corral'. Somewhere down the line your opponent will get a turnover, meaning you can pound on the poor things left in the corral. And the more you get off the pitch (even if only KO), the better your chances of keeping the entire team locked in.

Basically you form a big cage around all his players, doesn't always work brilliantly, but you should be able to get 5 or 6 of them in there. Though if he's lucky enough to roll only 6'es on dodges.. well.. you were SOL anyway

The same trick works well on your offensive drives too, _if_ you have a good chance of keeping the ball, or are well ahead anyway.
