Question to Lizardmen coaches

In theory, assuming you had the money, which of these to full rosters would be better?
1 Krox,
6 Saurii,
9 Skinks
or
1 Krox,
5 Saurii,
10 Skinks.
In other words, if I decide to get a Krox, should he take the place of a saurus?

Personally I ditch the Kroxigor for any starting team. If you can justify 6 Saurii then great but otherwise I'd cut back to 5 as a rule. You'll need rerolls though as Skinks are well known for dropping the ball. Constantly! And nobody else is probably going to be able to pick it up unless you get completely lucky with a touchback and pass it to a Saurus.
The BoneHead for the Kroxigor is just too much of a pain and he's not cheap either. I sub him for a Saurus and a ReRoll myself

I agree with BigD and would also never have started with a kroxigor.

Actually he is not talking about a new team, i assume from just how much money needs to be spent, im hoping his league isnt that broken. So if this is for down the line, go with roster 1.

Yeah from "full roster" I guess he's talking theoretically, ie when all players have been purchased after plenty of games.
Anyways I'd go with the first choice simply because of the option to go with the super bashy lineup of 6 sauri, 1 krox on the pitch when the occasion demands, whilst still having plenty of skinks for when speed is needed.

Yes a line up on defense with 7 st4 and above is quite nice.

oooops

did not realise that.
Then i would definetly have chosen the first option for the reason i like having 6 str4 players and a BIG GUY to bash my opponent with

My 2 cents, I played the lizzies in a tournament.
Formula was 1.200.000 GP + 10 skills to award + 2"double1" to award to your players, you could pick Star players as well (including less official ones as a skink called Katchmyifucan...)
I played the 6 saurus, Kroxigor, Silbili, 2 skink and the SP skink.
Gave block to all saurus, tackle frenzy to one and guard to 2. Kroxigor got block and Leader...
I won 5-1 vs Orcs
Drew 2-2 vs another lizards team
Won 4-0 vs High Elves because my opponent had no more players on the field!!!
So bashy and solid they are.
I finished second of that 14 people tournament cuz a wood elf coach went undeafeted -had that amazone coach drew with him I would have won because of the TD average-

I'd go with roster 1 as well. From my experience, until Skinks get doubles or some kind of stat increase, they're just a crappier version of a Gutter Runner. Saurii are the real meat of the team, and will keep your fragile little stunties alive long enough for them to score.

I'd go with number 1. Actually I use number 1, I just dont have all the skinks, yet.

Thanks for the responses guys.
Yeah, it's for a "down the line, purely hypothectical" roster. I've just started playing them in a test PBeM league, and, surprisingly for me, I'm doing OK, so along with the fact I like the new WFB lizzie plastics, I may start them as my next team (maybe in time for Spiky)

They're a really fun roster to play. Probably the biggest adjustment is their complete ineptitude at throwing the ball.
Well, after you get used to their complete inability to dodge out and hit someone if all their Saurii are tied up...

I'm used to that with my accurate norse thrower missing 50% of quick passes, and my AG4 4 catcher dropping 50% of those n target

You mean your Norse thrower actually picks up the ball?! Quick, how much for him!
