Early High Elf development - Journeyman with MVP

Hi everyone,

I have a fairly new High Elf team in a league. I was forced to take a journeyman for my last game and he received the MVP for the game.

My team is as follows:
1 x thrower (accurate)
7 x line-elf (1 with -1MV, and 1 with +1AG / all others have no skills yet)
2 x blitzers (1 with dodge and sidestep, the other has no skill yet)
1 x apoth
3 x re-rolls
3 x ff

I have 130K in the treasury.

I was hoping to pick up another thrower or my first catcher with the money in treasury. Almost all of my players will skill up on an MVP (except the -1 MV line-elf).

Should I buy this journeyman? Should I sac the line-elf or keep him on the LOS? Would I be better served with another re-roll or should I buy a catcher or 2nd thrower instead?

This is my first time taking an AG team in a league. I have played Orcs, Chaos Dwarfs, and Ogres.

Cheers,
Michael

I would have bought him to get a third guy with block (soon). And kept the dented player to get a shorter route to a 12-players squad.

No.

Keep him for now and use him as LOS fodder.

3 rrs are perfect for High Elves, buy another Catcher because you need speed, not another Thrower.

Yeah, unless he got a CASs or something to get a skill (kick) I wouldn't hire the journeyelf. You've enough linos already so don't really wanna buy any more.

It's catchers you need (although don't develop them as catchers, they already have all the skills they need for that and have the same stats as wardancers, so should be developed as sackers imo).

The -AV guy is linefodder.
