S4 Norse Blitzer with Guard. What next?

I have a S4 Norse blitzer who has just gained another skill but i cant think what to give him? He already has Frenzy, Block, Jump Up and Guard. I was thinking of Pill On (we have some high armour teams in our league), combined with his jump up skill it would be a great combo but his AV7 would make him a big target for fouls (and some of our guys like to foul as much as poss....dont they Tashton?) and an easy way of taking him out. Any Ideas?

Tackle probably my #1 choice, Mighty blow maybe as he is going to be doing a lot of hitting or Pro to help get people on the ground (particularly useful with Frenzy if you get dragged off into a 1 or 1/2 die block).

ST 4 and Block? Surely theres a MIGTY BLOW coming your way.
That said, he has frenzy too and strip ball combos nicely with that if you get the chance. Tackle could be useful too if you're in a finesse league.

Don't waste Strip Ball on this guy, he was meant to kill. Give him Piling On, then Mighty Blow next and watch the casualties roll in.

With the starting skills and trais a norse blitzer has, they are simply born to get Pilling on and Mighty blow. At least 2 of them should be build like this.
The fact that he has gotten ST+ just makes him all the better at pilling.

Sure, but he is going to gain SPPs so fast Guard will end up being a "nice to have" skill. Besides, this player won't always have the opportunity to hit someone, so having Guard is a nice bonus. Too bad the +1 ST wasn't the first skill roll

Would you honestly feel comfortable putting an AV7 player prone voluntarily? Aren't you asking to get fouled?

I doubt that he will be lying on the field that long, after he has pilled on. If I was playing against him I would foul with anything I had.

IMO you should give him MB...

if you put an AV 7 player on the ground he will get stamped on, BIG TIME. your opponant does not need to use many players to get through that armour. Mighty Blow is amuch safer casualty making skill.

i would stay safe. especially as he is a 4 skill player. to loose him to a foul is such a shame.

What are you going to do against his three other PO blitzers?

If your league is foul crazy I would be cautious, but I haven't lost a single Norse Blitzer to a foul in over 30 games. You have to pick your victims carefully.

I agree PO is a risk with AV7, but in can work in your favour.

My PO norse lineman was fouled 3 times in 3 turns. End result - 3 stuns, 3 Sent Off opponents. Made the 2nd half a little easier, especially as my Mighty Blow blitzer had 2 cas by this stage
