I think Vesticle has just about summed up the general human tactics.

The most important thing, IMHO, that people can forget when playing humans, is his point about keeping the running and passing plays open at the same time. This keeps your catchers from being smashed down too badly, and your line from crumbling.

The only other thing I would say is (and this may sound obvious, but really pay attention to it), make sure you actually do change your plays to suit your opponent. It can be easy to be tempted into a blocking war with a dwarf team, or a score fest with an elf team. *Don't Do It!* If playing the elves, slow down and try to beat them into the ground. If playing a bashy team, keep out of their way as much as possible.

Finally, remember that holding the ball for an extra turn or two when possible is a great tactic, especially against bashing teams. They may be counting on 5 or 6 turns for a counter score, so giving them 4 turns instead can shake up their plans.
