I've played 1 half with my new team, and already my WD is niggled. D*mn, so those throwers will have to wait anyhow.
Whenever possible make toudowns with lineelves of course. The Wardancers prepare the ground and will score enough SSPs anyhow (of course they will unavoidably score TDs as well).
So a Treeman is a good idea?? I always feel it wouldn't even get of the LOS, but that might not even be a problem. I'll have to buy the mini first, and i know myself, I'll end up with 4 or 5 new teams, + extra's
It is a kind of elven alchemist. Can save much cash in the long run. Don't pay too much attention to him though. That would be a very big mistake indeed. Position him near the center, with as much tacklezones on opposing players as possible. Stand him up every round. If he stands always try to block last with him (unless you have no RRs left in a given round perhaps).
With Woodelves, your offense is automatic and really quite easy. Your focus on developing your team should be:
"How am I going to get the ball on defense?"
If you can't answer that question, then you're going to have a very short and painful career as a WE coach - your opponents are going to score once each half after pounding on you for 8 turns and beat you 2-1.

That's really the whole idea. Stand firm, str 6 and av 10 means he soaks up a lot of hits. Hits that would otherwise be drilling your poor elves. It's really amazing to watch how much effort people put into trying to take my tree down when I couldn't really care less.
If he gets knocked down, try to stand him up first thing so you can plan around that. If he's standing and not in a tz, try to stick him somewhere where he can tie up some opponents right off the bat. If he's standing and in a tz, save him for last (in case of the inevitable skulls) and then knock someone silly (if you don't blow a dodge first).
First buy apoth....then a bloody thrower( before the 2nd dancer)
A good thrower runs your offence with begining elves this is pretty much essential, Most of your liners will be skilling up so the 2nd dancer isnt essential from the off, in fact i usually buy a 3rd rr before my 2nd dancer
I know most will disagree with me however =]

what is the strength of WEs in the defence? How should they play to get the ball and avoid being trampled into the lawn?
Anyway, isn't the High Elven team better? It resembles the human roster, apart of having 1 AG higher in each position (and being about 20K more expensive). And I think the human team is very well-rounded, flexible and really good (and although the starting skills are not especially crunchy, they are extremely useful).
Woodelves are good on defense. Yesterday, my woodelves scored on defense with 5 players on the pitch. My WarDancer could not be stopped! The other team couldn't form his cage properly and couldn't catch my players after they took the ball. I even played the stalling game just so the game would end sooner. Speed is your friend.
