Here's another one for you Grumbledook...

Can he steal a trophy reroll? How about a leader...

I would think no to both, but you never know....

Thanks.

well you just made me go read the master chef rules and it says team rerolls in the wording so i would say trophy and leader rerolls are safe

I agree with Grumble ... they are safe.

However, I have ruled that rerolls earned from the handicap table occur before the Chef roll so they are free game.

What happens anyway when two master chefs hold a cook-out?

It seems pretty obvious that a master chef can only steal "base"team re-rolls. (rerolls that are actually on the team roster). but does it say so in the rules? I don't think it does. or is it included in the definition of Team Reroll?

example. A halfling team with only 1 reroll vs a halfling teams with 3 rerolls.

team A gets a 6 on the Master Chef roll and ends up with 4 re-rolls. (teamB has none left. The team B rolls a 6 and ends up with 3 rerolls, but team 1, will it have 1 (4-3), or 3, namely, loosing there own reroll but keeping the 3 from the master chef?

it might also be important who gets to roll first.

Perhaps the difference between the master-chefs dice rolls determines who steals the re-rolls from the other team.

I'd rule that two Master Chefs rolls at the same time and could only steal the base not stolen rerolls.

So if a team A has 1 reroll and team B had 3. And they both roll 6s. Team A would have 3 rerolls and team B would have 1.

Just like I thought then.

So, RR's gained from handicaps will count as base RR's?

I'd rule yes. Handicap rolls are pre Master Chef in my opinion.

Interesting...
So basically, if a halfling team had no team RR's (don't ask why or how)
and a Master chef, then they'd have a distinct advantage over other halfling teams with a Master Chef that have less then 3 rerolls.

Anyone creating a Halfling roster with no rerolls won't have enough of a team left after 3 games to matter anyway.

True,
unless they only played people with one or two rerolls.

but yes I know, the odds are against you and the gain is negligable.
