What if a team has less than 3 players on the field?
What if a team has not any player left on the field?

Does the opposing team earn a TD? Must the player with no more players concede the game? Must the opposing player keep playing hi sown turn against nobody?
thx a lot.

There is no official answer.

Most leagues I know of say all the players must be set up on the LOS and you carry on playing as normal. If there is no one to kick the ball (because they are on the LOS) its either an automatic touchback or a bad kick. I'd say you still have to play even if there are no opponents on the pitch.

Those are all on the Hot List for 2003 ... no one can actually tell you the right answer to those questions because the rulebook is too vague to answer them currently.

Hi!

Yes, there is no official answer.
But you have to keep in mind that you get no money from the gate if you concede.
So sometimes it is better to keep on playin (or keep watching your opponent ;) ). He will make a lot of TDs, but you get money!

That would be funny against a Khemri team without a SureHands player.

Errr.
With my Orc team I tend to put ALL my players onthe LOS. (when I am defendig team). So I have technically no one to kick, is that a RULE problem?

 I've just had a look through the rule book and I can't find anything that supports my case.

So, setting up all your players on the LOS, does not cause an automatic touchback or bad kick.

Yeah, I was sure I'd read that somewhere, but it was pointed out to me that it's not in the LRB, and I'm not sure where I saw it.

Heh .. I know the answer to this one.

Chet's experimental kicking rules had this rule as part of the mix. A lot of folks thought it made so much sense they forget it wasn't part of the official rules.

Its still a rule in the MBBL2 that you need someone to kick off the LOS and not in a Wide Zone or its an automatic touchback.

That rule only applies to the kick skill. must have a player behind los and not wide. I would say that no one left on the field is an automatic concede, basically forfeiting the game, but that may be a little harsh. Perhaps just an automatic win for the guy left standing, but the loser still gets paid and mvp's and stuff.

nope i am all for just playing the turns out

if you managed to get a 4 td lead cause the other guy was ignoring playing the game then why should you lose cuase you don't have any player left for the last turn?

Also the fluff definitely talks about teams playing Blood Bowl when no member of the other team is playing. So in the fluff it could happen ... no reason to exclude it from the real game that I can see.

I think the game should be played out until a td is scored, in case some ko'd plyers make it back on the pitch, but if one player cannot set up anyone on the field, then it should be called....maybe an automatic minimum one point win for the guy left standing, in case he was behind in points. I can't see the game continuing with no players able to take the pitch.

I've played those games and I don't see the problem. Once played a Treeman team against other coach. My 10 Treeman only 2 made their Take Root rolls. He BH'd both of the Trees on his turn 2. He played out the rest of the half and then we played on when the rest of my team showed up.

If I'm up by 4 TDs and you take out my last guy and score and I have no one to take the pitch with only 3 turns left in the game ... no way do I think a team should be able to win through violence alone. Uh uh. Game goes on. Nothing in the rules says its a concession nor should it be one.
