Daggers and Fanatics?

Ok, another Dagger question.
Can a player with a Poison Dagger stab a goblin Fanatic (Ball and chain)?
The rules say that the only player that may block a Fanatic, is another Fanatic, But a player that is using a poison Dagger is neither blocking or blitzing.
Can it be done? or Can nobody touch a fanatic in any way?

I think the idea is that a player can't touch a fanatic. But as the rules are there is a big loophole for daggers and chainsaw attacks. As neither are blocks they don't fit into the wording of the fanatics rules.
So Offically at this point I would say the dagger could attack a fanatic. Though I do believe this to be against the intentions and quite out of spirt of the game.

I don't think so .. nobody should be stupid enough to get that close to a fanatic .. at least I wouldn't

It is said in the rules they make a dagger attack "instead" of a block. Allthough the attack isn't worked out as a block you should consider it as one and therefor you cannot attack a B&C!
(Unless you carry a shield, halberd and are wearing a harness!)

I say no as any player who would try to stab a fanatic would surely lose his arm from the ball and chain as he is spinning around so fast
(if you cant get close enough to block him you cant get close enough to stab him either)

No you can't. If you can't block the player you can't use the dagger on the player.
Also, use of a dagger takes up your blitz when you move before or after using it.
