A few questions...

1. Does a handoff give you 1 SPP for a completion?

2. If I pass the ball, and one of my players catches it, do I have to take an action with him right then? Or could I move another player then come back? I couldn't find it anywhere in the LRB.

3. What is the correct rule for throwing the ball in from the stands? I thikn we have been doing it wrong all season.

4. Blitzing: If I have an opponent in my tackle zone, could I blitz, push him back, and then take my movement? Or do I need to move one square before take the blitz. The LRB is unclear on this. It says 'take a move action and then a block, the block can occur anywhere during the move' or something along those lines.

Thanks guys!

No. A handoff is not a pass so doesn't give any SPPs.

No. You can have already have moved the receiver or move them later on in your turn.

Ball scatters out. Place the throw in template so the ball is the square the ball left from. Roll D6 for direction & 2D6 for distance. The square the ball left from is the 1st square for counting.

You do have have to move at all as part of a blitz action - you can block then move, move then block, or move block and then carry on moving.

Not a problem.

One more thing, where exactly did you find out these rulings? I couldn't find them in the LRB and my league commish wants to see them in print.

Thanks :)

EDIT: One more quick question too. In our league people are nuts over calling illegal procedure. When looking though the book, it looks like the only time it can be called is if you fail to move the turn marker, or fail to move a wild animal first. Otherwise it is an illeagl call and I would get an extra re-roll correct?

You're correct on when Illegal Procedure can be called.

The pointers Ian gave you above are all correct, but there just aren't any "official" rulings on them. They're all discussed in the rulebook. The throw in template has a picture that you can look at.

The "handoff" is a declared action that is distinctly different from the "pass" action (and you can do one of each a turn.) This shades into the blitz action discussion as well, since you have to declare the player is blitzing, and this lets gives them the ability to move and hit, or hit and move, or move and hit and move again.

That's because most of them are proving a negative or contenious. Basically do a search on handoffs and you'll find a very long thread from both points of view.

Yes. IP is generally overused - you can't call IP for, say, forgetting to make a dodge roll.

Ok thanks, so what happens if say I forget to make a dodge roll and my opponent calls me on it? I just go back and roll?

Yes. It is not illegal procedure, but it is something you need to do. Your opponent should remind you that you need to make the roll.
