Strong Arm in a blizzard

Simple question.

Can you throw further with strong arm in a blizzard (or any of the other limited pass range options) as the trait states that the pass counts as if it were one pass band less? So a long throw would count as a short pass.

Thanks.

I think this has been discussed before long time ago, and I think that the answer was no, but I'm not sure... My memory is not that good... :)

no you can't i think this was on last years rules review

No you can not throw further than a short pass on the range ruler. Strong arm gives you the bonus that a long pass would be treated as a short pass for modifiers.

Consider this. It's a blizzard 8) , you can see almost nothing; that's the main reason that you can only throw a short pass. A strong arm doesn't give you more eyesight. You wouldn't be able to see who you are throwing the ball to!!!! :smoking:

No. Strong Arm allows you to reduce the range penalty by one band, not the range.

Widh I'd said it like that. Less words and the solution oh so clear! This strong arm thing happens all the time though cause people most of the time want to bend the rules to there advantage! :smoking:

Unfortunately, that's not what the rules actually say, but its how they have been interpreted by BBRC members.

You're not going to tell me that's why it's on the BBRC discussion list, are you! (Yep I've checked, it is) :smoking:

I'm reasonably certain that you can use Pass, Pro and Leader on the TTM roll, and nothing else.

Accurate actually states when passing the ball, but that is mentioned in the TTm section, so there  .

No, in all honesty I see your point fair enough, but there is a player in our league has taken Strong Arm on a Ogre in his Gobbo team  .

How did he do that? Ogres don't have access to Passing traits.
