Sprint/Sure Feet

Okay, I feel a bit stupid posting this, but some people in my league simply refuse to accept my arguments, so if someone could answer the below question and give me a few good arguments for it too, I'd be very happy!
Okay, here's the problem:
My opponent is playing Chaos Dwarves, and therefore has some Bull Centauers, with Sprint and Sure Feet. He claims that he can use his Sure Feet on every Go For It, ie:
Go For It - rolls 1
Uses Sure Feet - rolls 2
Go For It - rolls 1
Uses Sure Feet (again!)
etc
He can't do that, right? I mean, it says quite clearly that a skill can be used once per action unless otherwise stated, but he claims Going For It is an action every time. Is this true??? I tell him that only Move, Pass, Block and Blitz are actions, but he won't listen!! So PLEASE give me something to shut him up with (unless I am wrong, if so I'll just shut up myself instead!).

Each skill once per action - so no. LRB pp 34
2. All skills may be used once per action unless stated otherwise. Traits may be used an unlimited number of times per action unless stated otherwise. For example, a Beastman with Two Heads may add +1 to every Dodge roll he makes.

he is probably reading the old rulebook where you used to be able to use it on every roll
i suggest you print out a copy of the living rulebook so he has an up to date version

Same goes for Break Tackle/Dodge. Only once per turn, so be prepared when he comes up with that later on!

Actually, he is using the LRB.. well, I suppose there is nothing to do, I mean apart from showing him what it says in the rules, I can't really force him into accepting it, so...

Er you can agree to play by the rules no?
Or does he decide which rules to use and which not to?
If you both agree to LRB he has to accept it!

well you can it says it in the rulebook, so either he plays by it or he is cheating
its on page 34 of the lrb2
there are 4 rules that apply to the skills and traits and rule 2 says:
2. All skills may be used once per action unless stated
otherwise. Traits may be used an unlimited number of
times per action unless stated otherwise. For
example, a Beastman with Two Heads may add +1 to
every Dodge roll he makes.
thats very clear i don't see how he could argue against it seeing as sure feet is a skill

Our leauge runs LRB rules, but in theory any rule could be changed by a supermajority of a quarum of leauge members. Deciding how many games a season lasts, and the playoff format is done democratically.

Send your players a mail to have a look at this topic! Surely it should be convincing enough!

Oh, I'm not saying mine is the best or only way to do it. It works for us, and I thought Noodle was asking how it might be done.

Yes, he agrees that the skill can be used only once per action, problem is I can't convince him that Going For It is not an action...

um you can only gfi as part of another action i don't really see that it matters
all the actions other than a block you can gfi but block says that you can't move so you wouldn't be able to gfi anyway

have him read pg 8. it lists what is and what isnt an action. move, block, blitz, pass. then read pg 20. no where does it state a gfi is an action. note on the same page (and pg 24 for fouls) where it says handoffs ARE actions. if he reads all this, and notices which are actually termed "actions" and still refuses to accept that GFIs are NOT actions, take it up w/ your league commish. have him read the exact same sections as with your cheating friend. the only players that are worse than those who ignore the LRB rulings in a pure LRB league, are those who fix their rosters.

just thought of this after i hit submit...
ask him why you cant use dodge to rr more than one dodge roll per turn. he'll likely say its because they're two actions and you can only rr one. then ask why 2 gfis are different.

If he wont accept that he is wrong, turn it around & do the sme thing.
4 Passes in a single turn + 4 Blitzes in the same turn
"If you're going to cheat, so am I"
