Apothecary Level 2?

First of all I want to say hi to all of you...

But now the question I have:

We`ve started a Blood Bowl Leage three days ago. After my first match with my Dark Elves I was able to by an Apothecary, since that it was quite easy.

But yesterday after my second match I rolled on the Intermatch Event Table (shown in Blood Bowl Compendium Nr. 2) and I rolled a 15 that means this:

My Name ess Doctoor Smeeth: You're approached by an Apothecary with a dodgy accent who claims to be called Doctor Smith. In Blood Bowl, however, a false name is no reason not to hire someone, and after all, he is rather good. You immediately gain a free Apothecary (or if you already have one, he may be made a level 2 Apothecary)

==> the question is, what is the difference between a Level 1 and a Level 2 Apothecary? Does it mean that if he's Level 2 I can heal 2 guys a during a match or 2 guys making fit for the next one? Or could he do something else?

I and the Leage Master have looked in every Blood Bowl Rule Book we have, but there we hadn't anything to answer our question.

I hope you can answer my question, best of all would be if you could tell me where rules for a level 2 Apothecary are written down...

Thx Steve

Hi, welcome to the board.

Well, the inter-match rules in the Compendium #2 were for the infamous 4th edition, not for the current LRB edition, so some (a lot?) of that stuff won't be relevent anymore.

However you could use the Apothecary rules from Galak's MBBL2 league, which iirc is the same or very similar. You'll find it at:

They were also for the 3rd edition, when they came out, u can also allow the original 2 apoth uses per game.

P. S. I do not recommend using the inter match events as they are with the current lrb ruleset.

i suggest you just download and use the living rulebook, they are the best and most balenced rules to date and the living rulebook contains all you need so no need to look in other books
