Does using the blunderbuss count as the teams pass action for the turn?

Not 100%, but I would probably say yes, its just like a hail mary pass isn't it?

No it does not use the pass action and if the ball drops into an empty space it's not a turnover and yes, it's broken.
I emailed Andy Hall about this prior the Blood Bowl Tournament as i thought about fielding Zzharg Madeye. He said the above (minus the "broken" part). I thought this would be a bit starnge and a possible source of endless discussion so i did not add him to my roster.
It's on the BBRC list for October though.

There was a very long discussion of this about 5 months ago. It is on the BBRC rules list, as Tim mentioned. It's a broken enough strategy that I would not let a team use the loophole in my leauge. Games could easily devolve to shooting the ball into empty space, freeing up a player with Sure Hands and walking into the endzone. Yuck.

How does it feel to go out of your own large JavaBB thread!?
Eyes acostume to the different light slowly, your aching knees hurt when you walk out of your corner ...
(don't take any offense, just joking!)

I come out all the time. I usually just read though, as a lot of the discussions seem more like arguments.
I once read an excellent proverb on arguing over the internet. Something about winning an event at the special olympics...
