Hi Guys,

With Side Step, the coach of the player pushed back can choose which square he is pushed back into.

Say there are only 2 adjacent empty squares but one of those has the ball in
it ---- can the coach of the player with Side Step choose to be pushed back into the square with the ball or is he forced into the "empty" square?

Ball does not count towards wheter a square is empty or not, so yes, he be pushed into the square with the ball.

Yes, the player can be pushed into the square with ball. The square is empty as there is no player in it.

And the ball would then bounce.

No worries,

Its a Wardancer who keeps jumping into my Orcs cage.......

I might even have to modify my tactics against the WE because of this.

The game ended 1-1 so the orcs are still the only unbeaten team in our newbie league. Yay!

If is just a pushback arrow, I think he has the option to try and pick it up, does he not? So if it just a Pushback and he is adjacent to the ball you could be worse off.

Players pushed into a square where the ball is cause it to scatter.
No pick up allowed 8)

You are correct.
LRB Pg 9 wrote:Players that move into the square with the ball at other
times (ie, when pushed back, etc) can’t pick up the ball,
and instead it will bounce one square. This does not
cause a turnover. See Bouncing Balls on page 14.

you can never pick up the ball on a forced move, easy as that.

And what other forced moves can you think of besides being pushed somehow?

TTM? If you land in the square with the ball it scatters doesn't it?
